being facetious about it because they had started production like

a month ago, they had started pre production and after they

just had announced it was renewed, but they already

in these shows because they'll go they'll go especially

expensive on the streaming service.

I think the thing that kind of bothers me though, is that you

have other shows that may not be as well received or may not, may

not be as good, but they are getting the renewals.

And a lot of the shows that are producing quality episodes,

quality writing, they're just being let go.

And a lot of them are not even making it past the first season.

So the fact that we got three seasons of this, I am

appreciative, but it just kind of sucks because I think the

third season was probably, I would say maybe the strongest

out of the three seasons. And so to come off such a strong

season into a cancellation, it hurts because it's it's a great

reaction to the cancellation. And unfortunately, I

But one of the things that I was saying is it really hurts about

this show because this show kind of checked all the boxes without

checking all of the boxes, if you know what I mean?

It's like it had all of the things that we look for in TV,

but it wasn't it wasn't perfunctory.

It wasn't just the, oh, OK, we want more people of color,

check. OK, we want more LGBT

representation, check. It wasn't like it was just

thrown in there just to say they had it.

Like it made sense for the story.

It was a very natural part of the story, you know, so and it's

one of the rare shows that actually does all of that and

just for us to to to lose it in that way, you know, a show about

women where women are the lead, women are the stronger.

that many shows that can do it naturally and not make it seem

like they're they're doing it for pride month or Black History

that's going to just going to recur like two or three times.

Like they actually did a good job of having people like be of

integral, integral, integral part of the story and making it,

making whatever they are, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, gay, bi,

straight, making that a secondary thing to the character

and how important they are. Like no one really can like say,

But she's actually like, you know, like Elena, it's like, you

know, you see her and I'm like, OK, but you know, I don't care

about whatever her lifestyle choice is.

She's a good character. She's she's important to she's

important to the story. She's a good character and I

don't care about anything else. But anything else about that is

cool that she is. But it's still but it's still

second is secondary is not something they're throwing in

But I mean, she knew Eliza was plotting against her, but as far

as the one knew, she had the support of the tower.

I mean, the whole episode starts out with her being selected

ambulance seat 10 years ago. So we kind of see what the

dynamics of that were. And it was very clear that the

sisters back then did not want Elida as the ambulance seat
00:08:21
because when they started the voting, you know, they say 11
00:08:24
sitters have to have the majority vote.

So when they started out, so one only had the four votes and then

when they got ready to move to Elida, then she gets the other
00:08:37
seven votes that she needs to become ambulance seat.

So I don't know, maybe it was a little bit of naivete on her

part. Maybe it was just, I don't know,

her thinking better of a lot of than she should have.

But I also blame someone and I I blame her because if she had

listened to Leanna, her voice, her second, if she had listened

to what she was saying, I think there could have been a

different outcome because she would have been prepared.

She wouldn't have been distracted.

That's the other thing. You still sitting in this tower

chase because you're worried about them being able to still

think they have kind of forgotten the whole point of, of

idea that they're supposed to support the dragon, not

of what's been lost because if you think about it, the Blues or

marine and and Swan aren't trying to control him.

They, they want to support him and help him.

And if they had had been sowing those seeds all along, then it

Reds. The Reds want to control him and

bind him and do whatever because they use them as a weapon in the

final battle. But if they pay attention to the

prophecies, which they have access to, it doesn't say

anything about just him being a weapon.

He still has to be taught. He still has to be guided.

He still has to be advised. And I think they they're just,

they're so caught up in their own infighting and politics and

they're so short sighted that they don't realize that

everything they're doing this to the detriment of everybody.

implement, like they don't care about him, like they they can

give all. All the prophecies point to him

leading everybody in the final battle.

they've always presented it has been matter of fact that if you

They're supposed to use him to to win the last battle for the

light. But it's kind of like if you

think about the the conversation that Ran has with Moraine later

on in this episode, when he's, you know, he's putting

everything together. He was like, OK, so you were the

1. You were part of the attack in

tan, not tan Chico Tarba LON with the mirrors and the you

know, and everything that happened with us.

Then he said you teamed up with Land Fear to do that, to try to

separate me from me, Gwen and all this other stuff that she's

been doing. And he was like, you want to do

it so that you could control me. And she was like, yes, because I

wanted to make sure that you were going to fight for the
00:15:41
light. And if at any time you look like
00:15:43
you were going to lose your mind or go to the dark, I was

prepared to kill you and ran at that moment.

I think fully appreciates Moraine's role in all of this

because he could have gone left long time ago, you know?

But Moraine has been there on his heels.

And it's just, I think it's so interesting because we know that

she and Salon were the only two who heard that prophecy that I

forgot what her name was made about the dragon and that the
00:16:13
tower must support him at the, you know, when the time comes.

But you don't know. It's just, I'm still baffled.

Like I know that she told them not to tell anyone.

But at a certain point, especially with someone, when

you see that everything is falling apart in front of you,

First of all, you have dark Asha, black Asha in your tower,

and you had no clue that it was as rampant as it was.

Then you see, you have people deserting, you have people who
00:16:46
obviously are not as trusting of you, and then you have a light
00:16:49
as to die come in and she is sowing all of these seeds of
00:16:55
distrust and malcontent. And it's just like you are the

ambulance seat. You are supposed to be the
00:17:03
wisest of them all. And up until this point, they
00:17:08
have presented her personality and her person as someone who is
00:17:13
wise beyond her years. So it just, it really kind of
00:17:17
confused me why at the end, in the very, very end, she just
00:17:24
didn't. I I don't know.

It's almost like Mike said, like she got to the point where she

was like, OK, I'm tired. I don't want to do this anymore.

But I don't think Salon would have been like that because she

knew what was at stake. Yeah.

You know, And even though her and Moraine aren't together, she

knows Moraine is still out there doing her part to make sure that

Rand succeeds. So I would think that she would

be equally as determined to make sure that she does her part even

after Moraine told her you were supposed to get the tower ready

to follow him and you haven't followed through on that.

This would have been the perfect time for her to be like OK look

stealed, after she has been beaten and tortured to a lighter

from Leanna, she really didn't know who she could trust.

You know, the only other person that she could have trusted was

Moraine. And Moraine is already out in

the IO waste with Rand doing what she's supposed to do.

frustrating because now we'll never know what her motivation

was for keeping that information to herself and how things might

have been different. It it if we really could

extrapolate and say she really was still just trying to protect

Because at the at that time, they didn't know where he was.

They didn't know where Moraine was.

And if she were to tell them this is what the plan is, then

that's telling the Dark, the Black Aja and all the Dark

friends what their plan is. He has to get prepared.

And so she's going to keep the information away as long as she

can until he's ready. And then she was going to go,

prepared to support Rand, not cage him.

that was predominantly white, I could understand that outrage.

I really for this show, I think it's misplaced because the cast

is so diverse. You know, I don't think it was,

I don't think it was a a decision of, oh, she's the black

character, let's let's kill her, or she's a minority character,

let's kill her. I mean you can literally kill

half of the characters here and it could be evenly spread.

She was killed by a minority, so it's kind of.

the better decisions just should have been made by Swan and.

bothered but the the main thing looking at where her character

And she is a fairly important side character in the book.

So are you were you were they planning on having another

the only thing I could think of is Leanne was going to become a

more important character because they actually together in the

book when they get steeled and they get exiled.

So they're together for the the majority of that time that that

storyline and something important happens to them, which

is important for a lot of other characters in the story.

her so she couldn't interfere? I would say she was probably
