What's up, hybrids? Welcome back to another episode
00:00:27
of the Phantom Hybrid Podcast. This is Hanukkah and I am here
00:00:30
with Michelle and we are discussing the second episode of
00:00:34
Season 7. Of Hello.
00:00:37
Hello. I cried so much this episode.
00:00:41
Like I was trying to hold it together.
00:00:44
But it was a. It was a.
00:00:45
Emotional stuff. And then when Jim let out that I
00:00:49
love you, girl, the damn burst, I was like not a 5 year old
00:00:54
making me cry like. Yeah, it was a I wasn't
00:00:58
expecting it. Yeah.
00:01:01
They they went through a lot in this episode like they did.
00:01:04
We talked about this in the last episode, how it seems like
00:01:08
they're pushing the story forward so.
00:01:11
Finally, OK, last episode we got rid of the Brown storyline once
00:01:16
and for all. This episode we seemingly got
00:01:19
rid of the Christie. Right, and it was quick.
00:01:22
He came to confess quickly. Quickly and just just put it all
00:01:28
out there like, oh, OK. So Alan Christie, you know,
00:01:32
shows up on the Ridge. He's at Malva's grave.
00:01:35
Claire comes over to give her condolences.
00:01:38
You know, she's like, I'm so sorry for your loss, for your
00:01:41
sister and your father. And he starts talking to her
00:01:44
about, you know, how much he loves Malvin and how you know
00:01:46
she, he was the first person that was able to hold her.
00:01:49
And he was like, you know, she was so soft and she was so
00:01:52
perfect. And she was, you know, I take I
00:01:54
took care of her. I made sure she was okay.
00:01:57
I was the one who made sure she was fit.
00:01:58
And he was talking about all this stuff and you're just, it's
00:02:02
just like okay. He's this really protective Big
00:02:05
Brother. And then he starts talking about
00:02:07
when she was little and he was like, you know, her skin was so
00:02:12
soft. And when her privates butted
00:02:15
like a rose, we were all like. Clearly looking like what?
00:02:20
The hell where I start like as soon as, he said.
00:02:23
That when you start talking and stuff, she was like, you see the
00:02:26
wheels turn like this is the. Did you kill?
00:02:30
She was like you kill Malva and it's like she's trying to.
00:02:35
You can tell she's holding back all this rage because she was
00:02:38
like, if you knew the bullshit I just went through because of all
00:02:44
this. But she was like, okay, let me
00:02:46
just sit here and get all of this out.
00:02:48
So yeah, he talked about how it had been him and Malcolm, they
00:02:53
were meant for each other and then they showed that one little
00:02:55
scene of him on top of her and she was just look sitting there
00:02:58
like I was like, y'all we really could have did without the
00:03:01
scene. Like we have imaginations, but I
00:03:04
get it. But they had to show us Malva
00:03:06
was like he he was the one that was abusing her in love with
00:03:14
her. And then of course, she went
00:03:17
through the whole thing where she slept with Ian and she slept
00:03:20
with the other guy because she was already pregnant with Alan's
00:03:25
baby, which we all figured. And which I knew because I I
00:03:29
read the books up through that part.
00:03:31
So I already knew Alan was the father.
00:03:33
I just didn't know how they were going to play it in the show.
00:03:37
And they did a good job because no one should be like, Where did
00:03:41
that come from? Did y'all not see the funeral
00:03:45
where he was about laid on top of the coffins?
00:03:49
Yeah, you be like. That baby's coffin.
00:03:52
Like, yeah, so it's like, oh. He didn't seem like he cared
00:03:57
much for her when they were walking around.
00:03:59
But clearly something's going on here.
00:04:01
Yeah, but I mean, I guess that's the way he had to act when they
00:04:05
were out around other people. Like, he still acted like they
00:04:09
were close, like that was, you know, he was very protective of
00:04:13
her. But we always thought that it
00:04:15
was kind of a weird protection of, you know, of her and.
00:04:21
At this point, I guess he felt like he had nothing else to
00:04:24
lose. Because now you, you know, your
00:04:26
dad just sacrificed himself for Claire.
00:04:29
And even though he didn't seem like he cared that much for his
00:04:33
dad, I think he still, I don't know, loved him, respecting him,
00:04:40
wanted his approval. And it's just like at this
00:04:44
point, he has nobody left, so he's just telling it all to
00:04:48
Claire. And he has a gun with him and he
00:04:50
tries to shoot himself and and Claire takes the gun.
00:04:53
And she was like, no, I can't let you do this.
00:04:56
Your father sacrificed himself for me and for you, even though
00:04:59
you don't deserve it. He was like, I can't live.
00:05:02
I. Woop.
00:05:05
And now he's dead. And he's dead.
00:05:08
Ian was like, no, you can't live.
00:05:12
He can't live, Auntie. And the look on Ian's face, you
00:05:15
know, he was pissed. Because I believe that Baron was
00:05:19
mine and. He was already upset and I think
00:05:23
you remember last season, he talked about he would have
00:05:26
married now, but they gave it to us.
00:05:30
They gave it to us quick. We didn't have to, like
00:05:32
literally clear escaped from her fate.
00:05:36
In the last episode, now we have the death of Allen in this
00:05:39
episode. So that Christie storyline is
00:05:41
over. But I noticed that when Claire
00:05:44
was doing her little internal monologue and she was talking
00:05:47
about Tom Christie and she was like, surely he he was dead by
00:05:51
now. I was like, oh, that means he
00:05:53
ain't. Dead.
00:05:54
Maybe he's not dead. He's not dead.
00:05:56
I don't think so. I think I don't know if he would
00:06:01
have talked his way out of there or.
00:06:03
If he would have bartered his way out of it, you know, I think
00:06:07
for that governor and for the people of this time, they will
00:06:10
probably be more willing to hang a woman than they would a man.
00:06:15
Of course he could be. He could be on that boat.
00:06:21
He could be free already making his way back to the Ridge.
00:06:26
We don't know. But in either case, Alan
00:06:29
Christie is dead. I don't think anybody will mourn
00:06:33
him. And and Ian definitely wasn't
00:06:36
going to give him an opportunity or I would say they weren't
00:06:40
going to give the rest of the Ridge folks the opportunity to
00:06:44
point more accusations at them. Because at this point you have
00:06:48
nothing to prove what Alan has just told you.
00:06:51
Because the one person who knew everything is now dead.
00:06:54
So they're like, yeah, we're just going to bury him up under
00:06:57
this tree. And here comes Mrs. Bug looking.
00:07:01
And at first I was like, is she going to cause a problem like
00:07:06
she was? Like I knew the devil had his
00:07:08
grip on Alan Christie. From the moment he arrived on
00:07:10
the Ridge, I knew something wasn't right about him.
00:07:13
I don't know what he did, but I know you 2.
00:07:16
And I knew you wouldn't have killed him unless he deserved
00:07:18
it. So let's go ahead and bury this
00:07:20
body before quickly. But you know what I was like.
00:07:26
Mrs. Bug. Now, we don't know that much
00:07:28
about her in the show, OK, we know that she's she's been there
00:07:33
with Jamie and Claire. She has kept house for them.
00:07:36
She has played nanny to, you know, Brianna's well to gym, at
00:07:42
least. So we were like, we know her to
00:07:47
be this good woman, but the fact that she was so willing to just
00:07:50
like, bury a body. I have some questions about
00:07:55
Merdina Bug. Because you don't just walk up
00:08:00
to a scene of somebody digging a grave for, you know, a person, a
00:08:06
person that you know that everybody knows.
00:08:08
And then you just like, oh, OK, I'll help you bury the body and
00:08:11
don't say nothing. She's shy.
00:08:15
In her Yeah, something. But I liked it though, because
00:08:20
she came up and was like, huh, yeah, I knew something was
00:08:22
wrong. And let's do this quickly before
00:08:24
anybody else find out. And then she start helping dig
00:08:26
the hole. I'm like, OK, like you.
00:08:29
First of all, was she walking with a hole like did she have
00:08:33
one in her hand? No, she had like a basket.
00:08:35
No, she didn't. So I guess Claire and Ian just
00:08:39
had extra gardening tools lying around.
00:08:44
OK, we'll take it. Yeah, take it.
00:08:47
Either way it goes. Alan Christie is gone.
00:08:49
Dead and buried, forgotten about.
00:08:51
So that's that that string has been tied, Brown.
00:08:56
Yeah, we're done with that. Thank you.
00:09:01
Thank you. No dragging out, which is what
00:09:05
we said last season. We don't have time.
00:09:09
We don't have time to drag this out.
00:09:11
That's why I like the pacing like.
00:09:13
As soon the episode started and he started talking, I'm like,
00:09:16
what? Damn, we're about to get through
00:09:18
this quick, the whole thing? You're giving us the full
00:09:21
confessional. Right, right.
00:09:23
We had draw this out and there's a scene with Jamie and like, no,
00:09:27
we're done. We didn't get to do this last
00:09:30
episode. We're gonna do this, this
00:09:32
episode and we're gonna finish up.
00:09:33
I'm like, OK, I'm. Here for it but the one thing I
00:09:37
will say about his confession and what he was saying about.
00:09:42
Malva and her change of heart, because she had decided that she
00:09:46
couldn't go through with the deception because she loved
00:09:50
Claire, you know, And that was one of the things he said that
00:09:54
he just, he told her to name Jamie because he figured Jamie
00:09:58
would just pay her off and tell her to get the hell on and then
00:10:01
they would leave together and be able to raise the baby together.
00:10:05
So he really thought Jamie was just dumb and going to be like,
00:10:07
oh okay, well, I have no proof. Let me go on ahead and just pay
00:10:10
her and get this over with. No, Jamie knew he didn't slip
00:10:13
with that girl and he was not about to pay you up, so that's
00:10:17
where you messed up. But I think the contrast is
00:10:19
interesting that Allen gives us the conversation about how she
00:10:25
didn't want to go through with it because she loved Claire, how
00:10:28
it wasn't right, and then we kind of see his.
00:10:32
Recollection of that last meeting, when she was headed to
00:10:35
the big house, she was going to Claire.
00:10:38
And you know, he told her, look, we can leave.
00:10:41
We can raise, you know, our child together.
00:10:43
And she was like, Alan, this is not right.
00:10:45
And he was like, but I love you. And she looked at him and she
00:10:48
was like, but I don't love you. And that was what set him off.
00:10:50
That was what made him slit her throat.
00:10:55
Because she loved Claire enough to not want to continue on with
00:10:58
the forest. But then when you hear her dad
00:11:01
talking about her, and then what we saw of her character, she was
00:11:05
willing to go along with it enough that she tried to poison
00:11:09
Claire and her father. Whether she tried to kill him or
00:11:12
not, I don't know. I think I think she did.
00:11:14
But it's kind of like it's such a contrast, like you love this
00:11:18
woman so much that you don't want to betray her, you, you
00:11:22
know? And break her trust.
00:11:24
That's what you're saying? But at the same.
00:11:26
Time she poisoned her at the same time.
00:11:28
Right. Probably to get out of the
00:11:30
situation because you were like, OK, maybe Mr. Fraser, is the
00:11:35
only way I can get out of this situation, the only.
00:11:37
Way I can get Alan to leave me alone, right?
00:11:40
You know. And I can see, I can see that
00:11:43
because at the time she doesn't have her dad and Claire not
00:11:46
around. She can like how she did kind of
00:11:48
seduce maybe Jamie she thought she could.
00:11:51
And then she can get away from her brother.
00:11:52
Cuz at that point she really was trying to get away from Alan,
00:11:57
but then she couldn't. And then Alan set up this plan.
00:12:00
She's like, well I can't do that.
00:12:02
I'm thinking, but you can't poison people, so why didn't you
00:12:04
poison Alan? Right, like you poison Claire
00:12:07
and and your father. And then we realized that didn't
00:12:10
work. What did you do?
00:12:10
You cut Claire's hair, thinking that she would no longer be
00:12:14
attractive to Jamie. And because you are.
00:12:17
I saw a spitting image of her. You know, you're this pale young
00:12:22
woman, long brown hair. You know, I guess in in some
00:12:28
aspect she was thinking that she would take Claire's place.
00:12:32
But I think the problem is, even though she had her womanly wild,
00:12:38
as her father said, that she knew how to manipulate men, she
00:12:41
knew how to manipulate men who didn't have a Claire.
00:12:46
She knew how to manipulate men who weren't Jamie Fraser or who,
00:12:50
you know, I would even say with Ian, like maybe she was sweet on
00:12:55
him a little bit, but also she couldn't go to Ian because Ian
00:13:00
would have made an honest woman of her.
00:13:02
Right. And The thing is, it's like the
00:13:04
dad saying she manipulated it didn't really, you know, I don't
00:13:08
feel like it's a manipulation when.
00:13:11
Those boys want to get lucky, so I'm confused.
00:13:13
It wouldn't took that much. However, you just lay with a lot
00:13:17
of them, so you'd only really need to lay with one to say that
00:13:20
they got you pregnant. But you continue on and you have
00:13:23
a love spell going on in the in the woods and you cut that man
00:13:27
fingers off. So you know what?
00:13:30
She's a diverse character, you know what I'm saying?
00:13:34
She got a lot going on for herself.
00:13:36
She's complex there. That's the word.
00:13:39
She's complex. Yes.
00:13:40
Better word. Because she has a lot going on.
00:13:44
She does. Right.
00:13:45
And I do believe that her dad was telling the truth.
00:13:48
She was doing some of that stuff.
00:13:49
Yeah. But I think Alan was telling the
00:13:51
truth too. I think she did care for Claire.
00:13:53
I mean, Claire was probably the closest.
00:13:55
I believe that she did care for Claire because there was, there
00:13:58
was a couple of times when she looked at her like she wanted to
00:14:01
tell her. Allen stopped her.
00:14:04
The only thing she did not want to do was the Allen situation.
00:14:09
So I can see her doing crazy stuff to get out the Allen
00:14:12
situation, but she could have did the easier move and poisoned
00:14:17
him. You know she.
00:14:20
Not the dead she, really. Could have.
00:14:24
You could have poisoned Allen. But at the same time, if you
00:14:28
poison Allen. You don't have the quote UN
00:14:32
quote mastermind to help you get out of this situation, because
00:14:35
if you poison Allen and he dies, you still have to figure out
00:14:39
what you're going to do as far as this baby and who you're
00:14:42
going to pin fatherhood on and stuff.
00:14:45
And I just don't think. I think you should have went.
00:14:49
I'll be honest with you in that situation.
00:14:51
Think of the poison. Dad and brother hope for the
00:14:55
best and you come out the situation.
00:14:59
Needing someone to be your be the father you have slept with
00:15:02
let's say at least two men. You pick one and out of those
00:15:06
two men I will go with Ian because Ian is related to Jamie.
00:15:10
So you know Ian has some resources and he can take care
00:15:13
of you and when you get to a point when you no longer want
00:15:16
him, you poison him and then you become the Black Widow.
00:15:20
I'm just saying this is this is but that's this is maturity
00:15:25
talking. She wasn't mature, so she just
00:15:28
didn't poison the right people. She wasn't.
00:15:30
And then in that, in that day and time, like women who are of
00:15:36
the intelligence of Claire and Brianna during that time were
00:15:40
few and far between. A lot of the women in that time,
00:15:44
and especially we see on the show, a lot of them know how to
00:15:47
use their bodies to get what they want.
00:15:49
Not too many of them know how to use their minds to do the same.
00:15:54
And I would see that of, I would say that of mouth with Christy,
00:15:56
especially because her father kept her so sheltered and he
00:16:01
kept her so restrained, You know, he didn't really want her
00:16:07
reading. I do understand that, but she
00:16:10
knew more than some other women who have some more experience.
00:16:14
I'm just saying she did. In certain, in certain.
00:16:18
In certain in certain areas, however, it is horrible what her
00:16:22
brother did to her. So it's like, but to me that
00:16:25
would be the first person I would try to get rid of.
00:16:30
So I don't even know how she feels about because we can't
00:16:33
take Alan's perspective on things in the in the video we
00:16:38
see that, not the video, the flashback.
00:16:39
We do see that she didn't care for it, but like what she
00:16:43
conflicted. Did she do?
00:16:44
Did she really care for her brother?
00:16:45
You understand? We don't.
00:16:48
That's the part we don't. We don't have where it was
00:16:51
probably the reason why she didn't poison, because she maybe
00:16:53
did care for her brother but hated what he was doing to and
00:16:58
we don't know. Now Dad is a different story
00:17:01
because we don't know. She did find out that that
00:17:03
wasn't her dad. Like we don't know.
00:17:06
We didn't really never get her, her her thoughts about things.
00:17:10
Probably did care about Alan, just because.
00:17:13
I mean, if you think about the way that he describes it like.
00:17:16
He was the one that was always there for her, and even though
00:17:20
what he was doing to her was horrible in some sense, she
00:17:25
probably still looked at it as he's still the only person who
00:17:28
has ever been there for for me. You know, he protected her from
00:17:32
their dad's beatings. You know, he stood up for her.
00:17:35
He like like he said he fed her. He took care of her when their
00:17:39
mother was executed and they had to go live with the aunt, He
00:17:42
said their aunt barely fed them. He was the one that made sure
00:17:46
that Malva was fed. So maybe.
00:17:50
Maybe it was more a sense of obligation on her part, like OKI
00:17:56
hate what he's doing and I don't want to do this anymore.
00:17:59
But maybe she just felt like she couldn't completely turn her
00:18:04
back on him. You.
00:18:05
Know, right. And that would be why she
00:18:07
wouldn't poison him. And then The thing is, I feel, I
00:18:11
don't feel bad for Alan, but however, he did truly believe
00:18:16
that she felt the same way. I don't know how because if you
00:18:20
looked at the loop the the two little.
00:18:22
Flashbacks we had. He wasn't even looking at that.
00:18:26
He just like they were together and he probably got that.
00:18:30
She cares for me, but it's the caring for me because I'm a
00:18:33
brother and I took care of her and he's seeing.
00:18:36
It in a whole different way because he looking all surprised
00:18:39
when she said I don't love you. Well, OK, so again, we're
00:18:43
talking about in the 1700s. That little flashback we had of
00:18:47
him where, you know, he was, he was on top of her and you know,
00:18:52
she was just laying there, kind of nonresponsive.
00:18:56
Other the other flashback where they were laying in bed
00:18:59
together, he was holding her stomach and she again was laying
00:19:03
in bed. No emotion on her face.
00:19:05
No, I mean, she was blank man back then.
00:19:10
Didn't really care about women in their feelings and whether or
00:19:13
not they, you know, if they didn't want to bet them, they
00:19:16
didn't care If they just lay there and took it, they still.
00:19:19
I got to that as, but with Allen he's a he's a little bit more
00:19:25
touched on the emotional side. You can tell he I still feel
00:19:29
like he was like really feeling. Like they had a love connection.
00:19:36
I mean he, I think he really did because of what they've been
00:19:40
through. He feels like they had a
00:19:42
connection. They did because they were
00:19:43
siblings. But he that they had a
00:19:45
connection, you know, he was her protector.
00:19:48
They were there for each other. Like he thought this was soul
00:19:52
mates. Yeah, he said as much, right?
00:19:57
He was like, from the time she was here, there was no one.
00:20:01
There was no one else for either of us, and even when he said
00:20:05
that, he said that before, he said The other stuff I was like,
00:20:08
oh, so we're about. To have, like, confession now,
00:20:11
right? I'm like, OK, so oh, so this is
00:20:14
how this went down? So this is And you started
00:20:17
looking like Claire was in between horror and rage.
00:20:21
She was like, horrified for what Melvin had been through.
00:20:24
But she was like, I'm about to kill this motherfucker right
00:20:27
now. Not only for what he did to
00:20:30
Melba, but also for what he put her family through.
00:20:34
Like she literally her their house was attacked.
00:20:38
Speaking of which, who fixed the house while they were gone?
00:20:43
Because the windows were all repaired, the doors, but anyway
00:20:47
we won't go into. That Mrs. and Mr. Bug did okay.
00:20:50
Maybe they maybe they did. And maybe the people on the
00:20:53
Ridge. Who?
00:20:53
The twins. You know, Lizzie.
00:20:56
Lizzie couldn't do nothing because she was heavily pregnant
00:20:58
at the time, right? But she still probably helped
00:21:00
out a little bit. Yeah, So.
00:21:03
But you know, their house was attacked.
00:21:07
Claire was taken from town to town to town.
00:21:11
She was kidnapped. She was stoned.
00:21:14
She was almost hung, like, just. You can see it on her face.
00:21:19
She was like, I don't want to get another thing at your mouth.
00:21:23
I just want you gone. But her sense of who she is, she
00:21:28
wouldn't even allow him to kill himself because again, that
00:21:30
would have been too easy. It would have been better for
00:21:36
him to be arrested, him to be him to confess and him to sit in
00:21:41
jail, to think about what he did.
00:21:43
And I think that's kind of what Claire was thinking, too.
00:21:45
But of course. You know, you have some other
00:21:49
people who are hot tempered with good reason who were like, Nope,
00:21:54
he he does not need to live another day.
00:21:57
He's done. Thank you, Ian.
00:22:00
Now we have a close to the Christie storyline.
00:22:03
At least we think we do. So anyway, on to happier things.
00:22:12
Brianna has the baby. He has a little girl named
00:22:17
Amanda, which we knew was coming.
00:22:21
I again did not expect the quickness of how the storyline
00:22:26
was going to go with Mandy to to take place because in the books
00:22:32
Mandy is a little bit older when they discover her heart issue
00:22:37
and they decide that they have to go back through the stones in
00:22:41
order to save her, but he or she still like.
00:22:44
Very much a newborn. Maybe.
00:22:46
Only a few days. Maybe a few weeks old?
00:22:48
No, she looked like she was a few days old when Claire notices
00:22:52
this blue tinge on her fingernails and she takes a
00:22:54
listen and she hears like the murmur.
00:22:58
So basically, Mandy has a murmur.
00:23:00
She has the the little hole in her heart did not close up when
00:23:03
she was born. And in this day and time,
00:23:06
there's really no way to fix it. So Claire is basically prepping
00:23:11
Brianna for. Be inevitable that Mandy will
00:23:15
most likely die. And it's like while they're
00:23:19
having this conversation and Roger and Brianna are are crying
00:23:23
and they're upset, it's almost like you can see Claire and
00:23:27
Jamie both have the same realization together but
00:23:31
separately like oh shit, they're going to have to go back because
00:23:36
when Brianna says can you fix it?
00:23:40
And Claire's like, no, I can't and she was like.
00:23:43
But I know someone who can, I said.
00:23:45
She about to send her back to Doctor Joe, she about to send
00:23:49
them back to the future. And it's like, Jamie's, the way
00:23:54
he reacts to everything with his eyes, with his face.
00:23:59
I was like, this dude already knows.
00:24:00
He's about to lose his family and there's nothing you really
00:24:04
can do about it because he he knows that this is the best
00:24:07
thing. Like, what would you do?
00:24:09
If this was Claire and it was Brianna, he'd be like, take your
00:24:13
ass back now. Why aren't you?
00:24:14
Hey, I'm good. I'm good, right?
00:24:17
But what is? So what is so fuck not funny?
00:24:20
But it's just like when they were like, can you do something?
00:24:23
Claire was like, no, I mean, I have that much experience.
00:24:27
But she was. I wasn't.
00:24:29
I was. I was like, I wasn't.
00:24:31
But she was trying to process in here.
00:24:33
Like, there's no way, like I didn't have that much surgical
00:24:36
rotation to do this. Like, I mean.
00:24:39
Do this, and I could, but I don't.
00:24:41
But I don't want to take that chance.
00:24:43
Not with her grandchild. She probably would have done it
00:24:46
for one of these other folks on the red.
00:24:48
Older people, right? Because it's like if it works,
00:24:50
it works, if it don't it don't, but I can't do I don't know if
00:24:54
because that's something totally separate.
00:24:57
And you're talking heart surgery.
00:25:00
You make one mistake and there's there's no fixing that.
00:25:06
Especially in this day and time when you have very limited
00:25:12
surgical tools. You don't have the proper
00:25:15
anesthesia because are you really about to give a baby E,
00:25:18
Sir? I don't think so.
00:25:20
I don't think so. You don't have the proper
00:25:23
anesthesia. You don't have the proper.
00:25:26
Shit, this is a newborn baby. You need to have some
00:25:31
sterilization, you know, even more so than you give these
00:25:36
older people who probably would survive most stuff anyway
00:25:40
because of the way that and the pain and stuff like that.
00:25:43
But hey, you can't do that to a newborn.
00:25:46
You cannot. So they have to make the
00:25:50
decision that okay, we're going to go back.
00:25:52
Now we have to get some gemstones.
00:25:55
They go to Wilmington to try to get these gemstones.
00:25:59
And who does Brianna bump into? But Lord John Gray, yay, and his
00:26:06
son, Right, the 9th Earl of Ellesmere, who also happens to
00:26:11
be Brianna's brother. And it was weird seeing it a
00:26:16
little bit because. He was looking at Breanna like
00:26:19
she's nice looking and not thinking now, but it's so funny.
00:26:26
Thank goodness she married. Because the way that Brianna was
00:26:29
responding to him, yeah, if you don't know the history between
00:26:34
these two characters, like it would have come across as kind
00:26:38
of flirty. Flirty, right?
00:26:40
She was more so. Excited about the fact that, Oh
00:26:45
my God, I'm finally meeting my brother.
00:26:47
And that's when he was like, have we met before?
00:26:50
And she was like, no, I definitely would remember.
00:26:53
I'm like Brandon, that's a flirty lie you can't say.
00:26:57
He's looking like she. Met it in a different way, But
00:27:00
yeah, it was funny when he said that.
00:27:02
He was like, have I seen you before?
00:27:03
I was like when you look in the mirror technically because you
00:27:07
know, they did some good casting with that because he does have.
00:27:12
Some of the features that would make it look like he is related
00:27:16
to her and Jamie. So he has some really good
00:27:19
casting with that, Like he looks just different enough for it not
00:27:24
to be like, bam, that is your son walking around who stole
00:27:27
your face. But it's close enough that he
00:27:30
can be like, you look familiar. Oh, that's that's Colonel
00:27:34
Frazier's daughter. Oh, yes, the girl from hell
00:27:37
Water. I was like.
00:27:39
Yeah, So he really can't run into Jamie because he'd be like,
00:27:43
damn, that dude look like what I would look like when I get
00:27:46
older. Yeah, it would.
00:27:52
But the look on Jamie's face when he when he sees them
00:27:55
together, because he's coming across the courtyard, he happens
00:27:58
to look up and he sees Lord John and Brianna and William and I
00:28:02
think it was just everything in him was screaming like.
00:28:06
I need to go. My two children are together,
00:28:08
but at the same time he knew he kind of had to stay back.
00:28:11
And then also because I forgot about the whole little argument
00:28:15
he and Laura John had in the last season when he joined the
00:28:20
Sons of Liberty. So technically speaking, they
00:28:23
are on opposing sides right now and we hear them talk about that
00:28:27
when Jamie goes to Lord John to speak to him and it's like.
00:28:33
You can see the friendship is still there.
00:28:35
You can see that Lord John is obviously still in love with
00:28:38
Jamie. But you know, I think more
00:28:43
important for the both of them is that one William has signed
00:28:47
up to be in the army. He is a red coat now and he is
00:28:51
planning on fighting against the rebels, which means that if
00:28:56
Jamie stays and takes up arms with the Sons of Liberty that he
00:29:00
will be fighting across the battlefield from his son.
00:29:03
That's a no, no. Jamie is like, Nope, The last
00:29:07
time I had to do that, I ended up taking my godfather's body
00:29:11
off the battlefield. I'm not doing that again.
00:29:13
No, I would never fight for the British and Lord John is still
00:29:17
trying to appeal to him. But Jamie is like, look, this
00:29:20
friendship is dangerous for both of us.
00:29:22
As you say, we we're on opposing sides.
00:29:25
So at this point, the best things for us to do is to sever
00:29:30
all ties. And the pain with which he says
00:29:35
this, not just because of William, but because Lord John
00:29:42
is his closest friend, regardless of everything else
00:29:46
like that, is the man who has seen him through a lot of shit.
00:29:51
And then he's, you know, taking care of your son on top of that,
00:29:55
you know, that wasn't easy for him to say.
00:29:57
And I I I tell you. I can never.
00:30:01
I can't sit through and watch Lord John cry.
00:30:03
I don't like watching him tear up.
00:30:05
It hurts me to the depths of my core.
00:30:08
I can't do it. So this thing was so hard
00:30:11
because you can tell both. There's so much emotion in
00:30:14
between these two. Can't.
00:30:18
Be besties anymore. We have to go our separate ways.
00:30:20
I was just like the look of Lord John's face when Jamie walked
00:30:24
out that door. I was just like.
00:30:27
I have to pause my TV now. But I mean, I love it because I
00:30:30
love that connection that they do have, and you can see the
00:30:32
history and the love that they have between each other.
00:30:37
And I have to go back to Brianna talking to Laura Gray about, oh,
00:30:41
you should, he shouldn't know who his daddy is.
00:30:44
Honey, that ship has sailed. There's reasons this is not like
00:30:48
this is 1975. Okay, we can't do this now.
00:30:54
And and like the. Consequences.
00:30:57
It's a It's heavy. Yeah, it's it's a it's a lot.
00:31:00
So much more devastating than it was for Brianna.
00:31:03
Like, literally. William Ransom is an inherited
00:31:08
title. His lands, his money's
00:31:12
everything. Like if it's found out that he
00:31:15
is not the the 8th Earl of Ellesmere's son, he loses
00:31:21
everything. His titles, his lands, his
00:31:24
money, his reputation, his name. It was his whole identity.
00:31:31
Granted, Brianna did too, but she gained so much more.
00:31:37
From that secret. And you know, that secret had to
00:31:41
be kept from her for different reasons.
00:31:44
Frank was the one who told Claire never to speak of her
00:31:47
time. He was like, I don't want
00:31:49
Brianna to know She's going to know she.
00:31:51
She's going to know she's my daughter.
00:31:52
I'm going to raise her as my daughter.
00:31:54
She doesn't need to know about anybody else.
00:31:57
And at that point, it kind of made sense because.
00:32:00
And it was, and it was complicated like this is
00:32:03
straightforward. We know the consequence.
00:32:07
Brianna, yours is complicated. How are we going to explain to a
00:32:09
13 year old girl that your momma takes the stones?
00:32:14
Right. See that?
00:32:15
That's something that requires some maturity.
00:32:17
And some of you got to know when you older Okay, because I can't
00:32:20
say your dad is from this time. Because you'll be wondering why
00:32:23
your dad neglected you and then come and see you and it it was
00:32:27
too complicated. So your first dad made sense by
00:32:32
saying no. We shouldn't tell her.
00:32:35
Because then you be looking at your Mama like why we not
00:32:38
committing her right like oh this newspaper said that you
00:32:43
were taken by the ferry. So you still seeing ferry like
00:32:48
it's a it's a lot there was a reason for you.
00:32:50
But here is straightforward it's it's it's more complicated in
00:32:55
the matter of the time of what's left of this man.
00:32:58
And then it goes back to even his mom his his mom they had a
00:33:02
title so then that also says that.
00:33:05
The reputation of your mom is out the window too.
00:33:10
She can't defend herself. Yeah, but.
00:33:13
Brianna was also older than William is now when she found
00:33:17
out. And we see how well she took it.
00:33:20
Thank you. So, no, I mean, but I
00:33:24
understand. And I I appreciated her telling.
00:33:28
Lord John, about her experience with Frank, because he was like,
00:33:31
Can you imagine what it would do to him to find out at this age?
00:33:35
And she just said then she was, she just kind of chuckled
00:33:37
because she's like, yeah, I kind of know I have firsthand
00:33:39
experience with this. So I understand both sides of
00:33:43
it. And like you said, one took
00:33:45
place in modern times, that things were a little different.
00:33:49
Things taking place now. If you were to find out now with
00:33:52
everything that's going on, I don't think.
00:33:55
Yeah, that wouldn't be good for him.
00:33:56
However, spoiler, which I don't really know guys, but he's going
00:34:00
to find out because you're setting up for him to find out.
00:34:04
I know that he does find out. I don't know which book he finds
00:34:08
out, but I hear that he finds out and that he's pissed.
00:34:11
About it so that well clearly and we well we clearly said that
00:34:15
that's that was going to happen so yeah.
00:34:18
Yeah, but I I figured, OK, we talking about this, so we going
00:34:22
to find out? He's going to find out.
00:34:24
Oh yeah. And I think it'll probably be
00:34:26
sooner rather than later because one, like we said, we have 16
00:34:32
episodes in this season. So I think they probably will
00:34:35
explore that in this season as opposed to waiting till the last
00:34:39
season because I feel like they're going to have to do that
00:34:42
this season and then whatever happens in the 7th season is
00:34:45
going to wrap up. The story because like we
00:34:49
discussed last week, they have to get books with 6789.
00:34:53
The different pieces from all of those books into these two
00:34:57
seasons. So I would say, especially at
00:35:01
the pace that they're moving now, maybe 2-3 episodes at the
00:35:06
most from. Now, yeah.
00:35:10
We we probably will find that out.
00:35:12
So, yeah. But the whole thing with William
00:35:15
and Brianna. Meeting it does result in
00:35:20
another bonding moment for her and Jamie, you know, because oh,
00:35:24
also, Lord John gives Jamie back the sapphire that Jamie gave him
00:35:31
from Silky Island because Jamie tells him, oh, that's why we're
00:35:35
here, you know, the gemstone is for Brianna.
00:35:37
Brianna tells Lord John they're, you know, she and Roger are
00:35:40
going to Boston, but she doesn't explain why, so they go out.
00:35:45
On a walk, and they have this nice father daughter
00:35:48
conversation. Jamie is happy about the fact
00:35:52
that she got to meet William before she left, but he was
00:35:54
like, you know, he's in the army, you're leaving.
00:35:57
I'm kind of worried for both of you.
00:35:59
And Brianna goes into this whole thing about, you know, she tells
00:36:04
him about the future, She tells him about, she tells him about
00:36:08
Disney. Disneyland.
00:36:10
Because that the name of the episode is the Happiest Place on
00:36:13
Earth. So she talks about this magical
00:36:15
place that Claire Frank took her to when she was little and how,
00:36:20
you know, had different types of games.
00:36:22
And it's really, you know, a place for children, but it's for
00:36:25
adults too. And she's just basically talking
00:36:28
to him about how magical things can be.
00:36:31
And they have this really nice conversation where he asked her,
00:36:34
he was like, so are you disappointed being here in this
00:36:37
time? And she was like, no.
00:36:40
This is not a disappointment to me.
00:36:41
And I have a feeling that if Mandy wasn't sick, you know,
00:36:47
Brianna and Roger tried to go back once and the Stones brought
00:36:52
them right back. So obviously they realize that's
00:36:57
where they wanted to be, even with all of the hardships, even
00:37:00
without all of the, you know, modern amenities.
00:37:04
And that was where they wanted to be.
00:37:06
And I think Brianna would have made her peace with staying
00:37:09
there and raising her children there with her parents until
00:37:14
maybe until Claire and Jamie died.
00:37:17
And then maybe they would have tried to go back.
00:37:19
But at that point the kids will be too.
00:37:21
Old, yeah. And I'll be like, I'll be
00:37:23
looking like, okay, I'm 20 and you take me, this is a big, a
00:37:28
big difference here. So 1011.
00:37:31
Is. That's going to be.
00:37:33
Just imagine the conversations in middle school if they went
00:37:39
back then. So no, I I feel like they
00:37:41
actually made their peace when it they realized it brought them
00:37:45
back to the place. They wanted to be and they're
00:37:48
like, okay, this is where this is where we want to be.
00:37:52
But now they have no choice. They have to be.
00:37:55
And that's that conversation with Bree and Jamie.
00:37:58
They have some of the best conversations.
00:38:00
You know, we can get really, really lovely heart to hearts
00:38:04
with them again. Crying.
00:38:07
Crying. Because I'm like, I don't want
00:38:09
to see this happen. I know you don't care too much
00:38:12
for Roger and Brianna Story, but I kind of like the fact.
00:38:17
That no, I like this story now. I didn't care for episode one.
00:38:20
I needed to find out what was going on with Claire and Jamie.
00:38:23
I'm like, I don't need this distraction.
00:38:26
Right now this is a good distraction but bad distraction.
00:38:29
But that one was a distraction on that story that we needed to
00:38:32
get finished. Now, get her ass off that ship.
00:38:35
I don't want to hear about Brianna.
00:38:36
They good, they're good. But now it's I do.
00:38:42
I mean, I do love this story. It's quite interesting and I
00:38:48
want to know the history of Roger because it's just
00:38:51
interesting that they found each other and they're both.
00:38:58
Travelers, So we do get a little bit of Rogers history in the
00:39:03
books. And then I think there is also a
00:39:07
a vignette story that is included in Seven Stones to
00:39:13
Standard Fall. That's the collection.
00:39:15
It's like an anthology collection.
00:39:17
Her Little Short stories. They put it in one book and
00:39:20
released it a few years ago. So there's a little bit of.
00:39:25
Information about I want to say it's Roger's father, who may
00:39:30
have been a traveler as well. Because one of the things that
00:39:35
happens in the books that did not happen in the show was that
00:39:40
when Roger tried to come find Brianna the first time, when he
00:39:45
when he was trying to travel Fiona, Mrs. Graham's
00:39:49
granddaughter, went with him to the stones to kind of make sure
00:39:52
everything went okay. So Roger goes through the stones
00:39:57
and he almost immediately comes back to the same spot.
00:40:01
And it was because when when he was traveling through the
00:40:04
stones, apparently you can hear the voices of other travelers,
00:40:10
especially ones who have gotten stuck.
00:40:13
So there's because, you know, there's some travelers who don't
00:40:15
know that they're travelers. And when they get to the stones,
00:40:18
especially if they don't have a gemstone, apparently they just
00:40:21
kind of get stuck in limbo. And there was a Roger doesn't
00:40:26
know if it was a vision or if it was something that actually
00:40:29
happened. But he believes that he saw his
00:40:33
father on the other side of that, that travel, and it's like
00:40:39
he saw his dad. And I don't, I don't recall if
00:40:42
it was that his dad pushed him back through or if it was just
00:40:45
one of those things where he was startled and tried to go back
00:40:48
through and he ended up back where he was.
00:40:50
I do know that there was something about.
00:40:52
Him having seen his dad and he was like, I think I just saw my
00:40:55
dad. And so there is a little bit of
00:40:58
a back story on that. I don't know if we'll get that
00:41:01
in this show. It would be nice to see because
00:41:06
yeah, you kind of do wonder like Roger's A traveler.
00:41:10
They are very rare. So how is it that you know it.
00:41:14
It's just interesting that Roger who comes from the Mackenzie
00:41:19
clan, you know his his family line is from the Mackenzie's.
00:41:22
Like where did the travel thing come through?
00:41:27
Like of course it had. It had to start with galas.
00:41:31
But does it hit every generation, you know?
00:41:36
And then I don't know. Because they now they were
00:41:38
always destined to meet each other because of the Because the
00:41:41
kids. Because both kids have it right.
00:41:46
And that thing was so interesting too, when they were
00:41:48
sitting there trying to decide. If when they were going to
00:41:51
travel because they were like, Amanda is so small, we don't
00:41:54
even know if she can travel. And Jamie was dangling one of
00:41:58
the gemstones, if you know, in front of her and Roger pulls Jim
00:42:02
over, he was like, Jim, can you can you hear anything?
00:42:05
He was like, yes, it's singing And she, she hears it too.
00:42:10
And they were like, how do you know?
00:42:11
He said, she said, so I was like, oh, OK, so him and his
00:42:14
sister, they got this little. Connection already I was, yeah.
00:42:19
I thought that was really cute, but.
00:42:21
It was. It was like, she can hear it.
00:42:22
She's saying, so I'm like, okay. They were like, oh, okay, well,
00:42:27
I guess we're. Doing well.
00:42:28
I guess we can move. Yeah.
00:42:29
And we going tomorrow. We're ready.
00:42:31
Right, right. Because at that point, now that
00:42:33
you know, any kind of hesitation just puts her in more danger.
00:42:39
You're prolonging what she needs, you know, to to be
00:42:45
healthy and to. Stay alive.
00:42:47
So that that whole little sequence there of them going to
00:42:51
Wilmington, getting the gems, Jamie presenting Claire with her
00:42:57
own gem, he was like, yeah, if you want to go back with them
00:43:01
because Claire was already fretting, you know, she's like,
00:43:04
if I was in my own time, I would be in the waiting room with them
00:43:07
while she was having surgery. And it wasn't her saying that to
00:43:11
say I need to go back with them. She's just talking it through in
00:43:14
her mind because again. After she says that, she was
00:43:17
like, well, I did do a cardiac rotation, I don't, you know, I
00:43:21
could do this. And she starts talking her way
00:43:24
through it. I can, you know, go in, do this,
00:43:26
so this, it's possible. But even she sounded like she's
00:43:31
doubting herself. Like, I don't want to take this
00:43:33
chance. And Jamie, that's what Jamie has
00:43:36
this conversation with her. And he tells her, you know, I've
00:43:39
dreamt of you in your own time before and she was like, really,
00:43:42
what was I doing? He said.
00:43:44
You were sitting at a desk writing, I think, and she asked,
00:43:48
how did you know it was my time? And he said because of the light
00:43:50
around you, it didn't look like candlelight.
00:43:52
It didn't look like the kind of like that we had it, you know,
00:43:55
And I thought to myself, oh, this must be what electric light
00:43:58
looks like. And she had, you know, she's
00:44:01
like, well, how can you dream of something you've never seen
00:44:04
before? And he was like, do you not do
00:44:05
that? She was like, yeah, I do.
00:44:07
But with landscapes and people, she was like, that's different.
00:44:10
I'm like, how is that different? Right.
00:44:13
How is it? It's not.
00:44:14
Right. And he said that he sees it.
00:44:17
And he was like, why I dream of the past.
00:44:18
Why would I not dream of the future?
00:44:20
And I was like, OK, so, OK, yeah, me too.
00:44:23
I was like, OK, right. But then she said, of course you
00:44:27
do. Of course, because how else do
00:44:30
you answer that? So when he starts talking about
00:44:33
this dream and seeing Claire in the future, I started wondering
00:44:37
some things. I did remember.
00:44:43
Back in the very first episode of the very first season when
00:44:49
Claire is standing in the window and she is brushing her hair,
00:44:55
and actually that was not electric light that was behind
00:44:58
her. We were talking about this off
00:44:59
camera that was candlelight because remember, the lights
00:45:02
went out, the power went out, so that was candlelight that she
00:45:07
was brushing her hair with. So it wasn't that time he was
00:45:10
talking about, but we see. Jamie standing in the courtyard
00:45:14
looking up at Claire and it's actually his ghost because Frank
00:45:18
actually brushes past him when he turns around.
00:45:21
Jamie is gone. Also at this time Jamie is the
00:45:25
younger version of his self. He is very much season one,
00:45:28
Jamie with the beret and the tartan and like full out
00:45:33
Scottish regalia, but I was like.
00:45:37
OK, so is this. This could be explaining it
00:45:40
though, or it could be the start of it, right?
00:45:44
Because he can learn how to project himself.
00:45:48
Could be. Or he could actually be walking
00:45:51
through time in his dreams. I mean, I.
00:45:54
Don't. He really could.
00:45:55
And you don't have to be a certain age to do that.
00:45:59
You could be projecting the age you were at the time.
00:46:02
I don't know. It's all up to you and your
00:46:05
brain. You're right, right.
00:46:08
Because if if you think about other shows where people have
00:46:12
died, you know, at old age, I mean, I'm thinking of a couple
00:46:15
in particular, Titanic when Rose finally dies and she when she
00:46:21
meets up with Jack and her, you know, in her version of heaven
00:46:25
or whatever, she is back to the age that she was when she met
00:46:29
him. Right.
00:46:31
And all the people and the age when they died on the Titanic.
00:46:33
Right, Which I mean, but they wouldn't have aged.
00:46:36
But she did. But when Jack takes her hand,
00:46:40
you know he takes her hand. She's an old woman.
00:46:43
But then when the camera pans to her, she said to the young self.
00:46:47
The other one is more recently supernatural.
00:46:51
When Sam dies, he's an old man, but when he meets Dean and in
00:46:55
heaven. He's back at the same age that
00:46:58
he was the last time being saw him, and even you know, the Star
00:47:05
Wars people, that's the same when Darth Vader dies and he's
00:47:12
his son, sees him. Well, I can't think of his name
00:47:14
right now. And we see young Anakin.
00:47:17
We don't see old Darth Vader, even though I was placed in the
00:47:20
movie. But it was the point to be made.
00:47:23
It was the IT was the innocent. Mannequin ripe age of twentyish
00:47:30
versus old man Darth Vader smiling, so you know.
00:47:37
But yeah, so I thought that was very interesting.
00:47:40
So when I start popping up in people dreams, when I pass, I
00:47:44
want to be, you know, the sexy in my 20s or in my 40s.
00:47:53
Not my 80s, OK? This is true because because
00:47:57
even as a ghost, you can't do much of venturing if you can't
00:48:00
move around. Right.
00:48:01
My knees. You know what I'm saying?
00:48:02
When I need ibuprofen 800. No, I want to do it where I'm,
00:48:06
you know, limber. I can move around, right?
00:48:10
Yeah, right. So but it it's a start of
00:48:14
something, which means if others can walk through stones.
00:48:23
We can give Jamie something he. Can he can walk through the
00:48:26
light. He can't.
00:48:27
He can't physically go through the stones.
00:48:29
So. But we gotta give him something.
00:48:31
Yeah, he. Can he?
00:48:32
Can we can dream of the future? Right.
00:48:35
That would be nice. I mean, it was hard for me
00:48:38
though, because I'm like, huh, But you saw her and you are
00:48:42
explaining electric lights. Well, how you doing that?
00:48:46
And I'm having a hard time believing that.
00:48:49
In a show where they are about to travel through stones with
00:48:52
gyms. And then I realized, Michelle,
00:48:57
really this man can dream of the future.
00:49:00
So you can believe in some kind of magic, but not other kind of
00:49:03
magic. Right and did that.
00:49:05
Stones where they can travel up to 200 years.
00:49:07
Oh, that's nothing. That's that's nobody dreaming of
00:49:10
electrolite. How the hell he doing that in
00:49:14
the same episode? I'm like okay, so I let I let it
00:49:19
go and said he can dream of the future.
00:49:22
Just seriously, a whole family, four people with four different
00:49:26
stones traveling to a. Certain time.
00:49:30
And I'm having trouble because he dreamed of electric lights.
00:49:34
And they made it and they made it this time, you know, they
00:49:37
wake up at the stones. Jim is playing with his toy
00:49:40
airplane, which he took with him through the stones.
00:49:43
And you know, when they're trying to sit there and figure
00:49:45
out, well, did we make it? And then they hear the plane,
00:49:48
look up, There's an airplane. It was like they made it.
00:49:53
And then also when you see them pan out to the surroundings.
00:49:57
So they went to the stones at Ocracoke and they came over by
00:50:01
boat. And you saw it when, you know,
00:50:03
back in Jamie's time, lush trees, beautiful.
00:50:09
When we get to whatever year it was that they traveled to, I
00:50:13
don't know what year they traveled to.
00:50:15
It was dry. The river has dried up and looks
00:50:19
so completely different. So yes, they're they're back
00:50:23
where they should be. Right.
00:50:25
And it was the IT was a emotional goodbye that was hard.
00:50:31
OK? When they were at the Stones, it
00:50:33
was hard. Because.
00:50:37
When when they're saying their goodbyes, you know, Claire
00:50:39
saying her goodbye to Brianna and she's talking about how she
00:50:43
went through the stones, wants to protect her baby and now she
00:50:46
has to do it to protect hers. And she was like, it feels like
00:50:50
goodbye. I'm never going to see you
00:50:52
again. Or that's what Brianna says.
00:50:53
And Claire was like, look, we've said goodbye twice before and
00:50:59
you always came back. So never say never.
00:51:02
You know, I think Claire, at least in some way, has a little
00:51:05
hope. And then when she she reaches
00:51:08
down or she mills down to talk to Jim and she was like, you
00:51:12
take care of your baby sister, OK?
00:51:13
You teach her how to play hide and seek like we taught you to.
00:51:16
He was like, I love you girl. When I say the waterworks
00:51:21
started flowing, the dam broke because I was already emotional
00:51:25
at this point. I was like, I don't like their
00:51:27
goodbyes heart wrenching, their gut wrenching you have.
00:51:32
Claire and Brianna over here saying this.
00:51:34
You've got Jamie telling Roger that he was a good man, a man of
00:51:38
honor. How proud he is and.
00:51:40
You have little Jim with his little voice.
00:51:42
I love you. I was just lying.
00:51:47
I bet you they were a mess filming that.
00:51:49
Scene. And then when he goes to say
00:51:52
goodbye to Granddad, he was like, I don't want to leave you,
00:51:56
Granddad, stop doing this to me. And the But for me, the hardest
00:52:04
one was actually Jamie and Brianna.
00:52:08
I don't know, because he'd be looking at her like she's still
00:52:10
a kid, you know what I'm saying? It was like my baby is leaving
00:52:15
and I'm like, Oh my gosh, but you know.
00:52:18
At the same time he he is. But I'm just happy at the time
00:52:21
that they had together. Yes, that's what I was going to
00:52:24
say. He's looking at her like, you
00:52:26
know, truth be told, I should not have even had this time with
00:52:29
you. But he was like, I can't say
00:52:33
goodbye to you. And she was like, it's not
00:52:36
goodbye you. What did she say?
00:52:39
You. You are part of my heart and my
00:52:41
soul. And I will carry you with me
00:52:43
all. I can't even say it.
00:52:45
Oh my God. That thing was like, we've seen
00:52:50
goodbye scenes on the show, and that's one thing that actually
00:52:52
do very well. All their goodbye scenes,
00:52:56
whether it has to do with someone dying, whether it has to
00:52:59
do with them going through the stones, they're all so emotional
00:53:04
and heartfelt and gut wrenching and beautiful and horrible and
00:53:09
it's just like they nail it every single time.
00:53:14
And this one was just, I think it was more emotional simply for
00:53:19
the fact that. It actually was goodbye, like
00:53:22
the way that they pan the camera.
00:53:24
You see Brianna and Roger holding hands with the kids and
00:53:29
they walk towards the stone and then you see the back of the
00:53:32
stone and it's like all of a sudden you know that they're
00:53:34
gone. And what does?
00:53:38
What does Jamie say? He said.
00:53:42
He said for your sake, I will continue.
00:53:45
For my sake alone. For my sake alone, I would not.
00:53:49
And I was just like I would not. They're going to have a hard
00:53:51
time with this. And when they go back to
00:53:55
Fraser's Ridge and they're laying in the bed that night and
00:53:58
neither one of them can sleep, Claire, I think, to kind of help
00:54:04
her get out of the head space, she tries.
00:54:07
To be intimate with James, it doesn't she it doesn't work.
00:54:12
She's got too much emotion, Penta, And he lets her just talk
00:54:17
about it and she talks about how they belong.
00:54:19
She was like, we've lost our whole family.
00:54:22
Roger, Brianna, the kids, Marsley, Fergus.
00:54:26
Even though they're not physically gone, they're in a
00:54:28
whole different city. I don't even know if we're going
00:54:31
to see Marsley and Fergus this this season, which makes me
00:54:34
upset. Because, well, you don't know if
00:54:37
they're in the future books. I don't know.
00:54:41
I don't even know. I think I want to say at some
00:54:45
point they do find out that Claire is the traveler, but I'm
00:54:48
not sure. And see, now we got questions.
00:54:52
Now you're going to make me go and read the books.
00:54:54
And I said I wasn't going. To do not don't do it I the
00:54:57
questions I have we will find out later I'm just I'm just
00:55:01
wondering I'm just just like I'm you know I want to know if.
00:55:07
They do get back together again. If Brianna and Roger and the
00:55:11
kids do come, I mean I don't know and and it's it is one of
00:55:15
those things where should they? Because that's a risk you have
00:55:18
to take two with kids taking them through those those stones
00:55:22
and then you. Are you're taking them from one
00:55:25
time to another now, depending on how many years they're there
00:55:29
in that future time, when they come, if they come back?
00:55:34
Are they going to know, You know, they'll be older at that
00:55:37
point, obviously. But will they know enough to
00:55:40
say, hey, you can't talk about this, you can't talk about that?
00:55:43
It's kind of like. I feel like the stress of it
00:55:46
would be too much, too much to try to govern or watch what
00:55:51
they're saying all the time going forward at the age that
00:55:55
Jim is now. It's probably a little bit
00:55:58
easier because you can always, if he says something that's out
00:56:02
of place, you can always say, oh, he has an overactive
00:56:05
imagination or that sort of thing, you know, Or you can
00:56:09
explain it the same way. Jay, hey, he has very vivid
00:56:12
dreams. I've told him enough about my
00:56:14
father and my mother that he pretends that he, you know what
00:56:17
I'm saying? You can explain it away.
00:56:22
And it not be so weird, but taking them from the future and
00:56:25
bringing them back to the past. I mean you saw how how much of A
00:56:28
struggle it was for Claire and Brianna and Roger to kind of
00:56:31
adapt and realize oh we can't say this.
00:56:34
Oh we can't do this. Even though, you know Brianna
00:56:36
did do some things that she wasn't supposed to do like
00:56:39
creating matches which we will talk about in a little bit.
00:56:42
But you know it's it's like I, I, yeah, I I don't know if I I
00:56:49
don't know if they come back. And I don't know if I want to
00:56:52
know now because then I if I find out, yes, they do come
00:56:55
back, I'm going to be like so impatient for that part of the
00:56:58
story to happen. And I don't want to do that.
00:57:00
That's why I said once they've announced that the series will
00:57:04
end with season 8:00 and that they are going, they're telling
00:57:08
story up through book nine, I was like okay at this point.
00:57:12
It makes no sense for me to read the books now, especially since
00:57:15
we know that they've changed some stuff.
00:57:17
I'm just going to wait and see. What happens?
00:57:21
But I do hope that they do get to see each other again before
00:57:26
whatever happens. Claire, Jamie, whatever.
00:57:29
But Claire, once she kind of backs off Jamie and she's
00:57:37
talking to him about their losses and he starts telling her
00:57:41
about his losses too. And he was like, you know, I
00:57:43
think about all the people that we that we.
00:57:46
Lost. He names Mertha.
00:57:48
He you know, he just starts naming people and then she just
00:57:52
completely falls apart. And I was just like, y'all are
00:57:57
killing me with this episode because you feel every ounce of
00:58:05
grief that she is held over the last however many years you feel
00:58:09
all of it. Because for the most part, when
00:58:13
Claire has experienced grief. She cries, but I don't think she
00:58:19
mourns properly. She doesn't grieve properly
00:58:21
because really, she doesn't get the chance to, because there's
00:58:26
she doesn't have time, because there's always the next drama,
00:58:31
the next trauma, the next whatever.
00:58:33
So she doesn't really have a chance to sit there and just
00:58:37
allow herself to feel it. And I swear.
00:58:41
She felt every goddamn thing in this scene because I was sitting
00:58:44
there feeling emotionally drained watching her.
00:58:47
And all Jamie could do was hold her and he was like, you grieve
00:58:50
for them and when you're done, I'm here.
00:58:53
And I thought that was one of the most beautiful scenes in the
00:58:58
show because it it it's about a different type of intimacy
00:59:05
between them. And again, you get to see just
00:59:08
how, how much on the same wavelength Jamie and Claire are.
00:59:14
You know, for all their differences, as far as them
00:59:16
being from two different times, them being, you know, two
00:59:19
different people experience two different things.
00:59:22
Just the fact that he connect, he is able to connect with her
00:59:25
like he can figure out what's wrong with her.
00:59:27
He says what he needs to say. He allows her the space to
00:59:31
grieve and get it out and and doesn't try to.
00:59:36
He doesn't try to tell her to stop.
00:59:37
He doesn't try to, you know, he doesn't try to make her say, oh,
00:59:40
he's. Present with her in that moment.
00:59:42
Yeah. So I I think that was a that was
00:59:46
a very beautiful scene. And so, you know, after that we
00:59:50
get to see them on the farm, just trying to live life.
00:59:55
And you know, she talks about how it's been several weeks.
00:59:57
Lizzie has her baby. And you know what does Claire
01:00:01
say? Everyone is enamored is so
01:00:04
enamored with baby Rodney that even Jamie has relented and
01:00:10
allowed the unusual family to stay.
01:00:14
I love that she's still doing her little talk over and she's
01:00:17
coming to the house after picking some flowers or
01:00:20
whatever. She comes to the house and it's
01:00:22
almost dark. And the front door is open.
01:00:25
I was like. Here we go again.
01:00:27
That that's what I was thinking. Here we go again.
01:00:29
Who is? Here now.
01:00:31
Like what's the problem? What's the problem?
01:00:33
Like they just said they several weeks that you we actually
01:00:36
giving her some time to mourn the situation and now another
01:00:40
situation is about to occur and I didn't know what it was.
01:00:45
I'm like good gosh, give him some time.
01:00:49
Now this is the time where I'll be okay if we go to Roger,
01:00:52
Brianna, let's see what they doing.
01:00:55
Like, do we really have to have more, more drama with?
01:00:58
Clinton, right. Let's see what they doing.
01:00:59
Let's see how the surgery went. Okay, how they got some money,
01:01:04
right. So she where they live, What
01:01:07
apartment are they living in? I mean, did you get a house like
01:01:09
what's going on? Did Brianna put some money away
01:01:15
from her dad? I mean, so let's go back to that
01:01:18
time. I don't want to go back to this
01:01:20
right here. And there's an issue.
01:01:21
Yeah, but we have to get to it. We have to get to it.
01:01:24
She walks in the house. We see a figure sitting in the
01:01:28
chair behind. He likes the match.
01:01:30
And it's when to go fucking Donner.
01:01:33
And I was like, you know what? Roger should have just let him
01:01:36
escape. Gave him a gym.
01:01:37
So. That's not too.
01:01:40
Like, it's it's one of those things, those things.
01:01:43
And we talked about this at the end of the last episode off
01:01:45
camera, where it's like, you're damned if you do, you're damned
01:01:49
if you don't. Like Jamie felt pity for Stephen
01:01:54
Bonnet and freed him. And you know, Bonnet was like,
01:01:57
you'll never see me again, blah blah blah.
01:01:59
And then what happens? Bonnet realizes that Jamie and
01:02:02
Claire have gemstones. They robbed them.
01:02:05
He he takes Claire's rings then. Brianna sees the ring.
01:02:12
She tries to get it back from him.
01:02:14
He rapes her and goes through this whole thing, all because
01:02:17
Jamie had compassion for this one person.
01:02:21
So now Roger doesn't have compassion for when to go down
01:02:25
her because when to go sat by and you know, well, I won't say
01:02:29
a loud because again, he does make a point line on ground and
01:02:33
his man would have killed me, I get that.
01:02:35
Still, he was there, present in the moment when Claire was being
01:02:39
sexually assaulted by multiple people and then he wanted Roger
01:02:44
to help him. Roger was like, no, I'm not
01:02:46
going to help you. And now here he goes.
01:02:48
Now here he goes. He doesn't escape.
01:02:51
And he's there because, of course, he knows that Claire is
01:02:54
a traveler. He knows Roger is a traveler.
01:02:57
So he's thinking, oh, you guys probably have gemstones.
01:03:00
I just want to go back home. And again, he keeps using this
01:03:03
excuse. I just want to go home.
01:03:05
I just want to go home. So you going to give me
01:03:06
gemstones or you going to tell me where they are?
01:03:09
You need to tell me what I did wrong.
01:03:10
Because the one time I did try to go back, I ended up back
01:03:13
here. But I was also drunk and blah
01:03:16
blah blah. So Claire tells him you can't be
01:03:18
drunk. This is what you do, this is how
01:03:20
you do it. But we don't have any gemstones.
01:03:25
He doesn't believe her. He has his men come in with
01:03:28
Jamie at gunpoint, and he sends his man off to search the house.
01:03:33
So Jamie is trying to defuse the situation with humor.
01:03:37
When he learned who he was. Jamie come across that room.
01:03:43
Let me tell you, if that dude who was holding him hadn't
01:03:47
grabbed him and then the other two didn't come in with the
01:03:49
bugs, and that was a whole weird situation because they come in,
01:03:55
he's got a word. Arch and Medina, Mr. and Mrs.
01:04:00
Bug. Right, I know, I said.
01:04:01
It was really weird. I had to, like, actually rewind
01:04:04
that three times. What the hell do they have and
01:04:08
what do they send to each other? And I'm like, I see the gold and
01:04:11
he's like, where you get there from, it's none of your
01:04:13
business. And I because I watched it three
01:04:15
times, I'm like, well, oh shit, what they get into.
01:04:19
Did you figure it out? No, but I was like where do you
01:04:22
get to go from Okay? So, so this is Okay.
01:04:27
We got another issue that we won't have to take care of after
01:04:30
we take care of this. Yes.
01:04:33
Robbing of the house. This is an issue I was expecting
01:04:36
to come up. I didn't know how and when.
01:04:39
Yeah, so the guys come in, they have Mr. and Mrs. Bug, and
01:04:44
they're like, Oh yeah, we did find something and they pull out
01:04:47
a bar of gold. And then Jamie is asking in
01:04:52
Gallic at this point, he's asking Arch Bug, where did where
01:04:55
did you get that go? It's none of your business.
01:04:57
Jamie is like, it damn well is my business.
01:05:00
So in the midst of all this, when to go is like, cut that
01:05:04
shit out. We we're not here for gold.
01:05:07
We need gemstones. He doesn't care about the gold.
01:05:10
I'll talk about the gold in a minute.
01:05:12
So anyway, he says his his goons into Claire surgery to look to
01:05:17
see if she has gemstones there. Now why she didn't tell him?
01:05:21
We don't have gemstones. We literally just sent our
01:05:24
daughter and her family through. Because my, my, no, because
01:05:28
Jamie said. He gave it to Claire.
01:05:31
But, but again, he said no. He said Claire hit them.
01:05:35
Claire could have said, well, I gave them to my daughter and her
01:05:37
husband. Yes, and they didn't and I'm
01:05:41
like, oh hell. Right, right.
01:05:44
What's that smell? Here we go, Pan.
01:05:48
They go through, they go through the surgery, they unlock the
01:05:51
locked cabinet, they pull out the bottle that says ether.
01:05:54
And I understand that the goons probably aren't smart.
01:05:57
They probably don't even know what the fuck ether is.
01:06:00
They are smashing bottles on the ground and of course they throw
01:06:04
2 bottles of the ether down when to go says what's that smell?
01:06:09
And clears like it's ether. So she, Jamie and the bugs they
01:06:12
all cover their nose because they know what this is about to
01:06:16
be. When and when to go's guys are
01:06:19
in there talking about it's so dark in here I can't see turn on
01:06:22
the fucking light. Even know what does Window go
01:06:25
do? He takes the matches that he
01:06:27
found on Claire's table that Brianna made and he lights the
01:06:30
match and Claire's like, no, don't do that.
01:06:33
And then all of a sudden we see a pan out view of the big house
01:06:38
and the house goes boom. And then my first thought is,
01:06:47
this is the house fire. So what's about to happen?
01:06:52
Yeah, it can't be the house fire because we still have 14
01:06:57
episodes from this and you know, they're not going to kill.
01:07:00
Clear And Jamie Well, no, I know they're not going to be dead.
01:07:03
But I'm like, but this is the house fire that must have been
01:07:05
in the paper. So that was my first thought
01:07:07
like this is the house fire that was in the paper because that
01:07:10
because we can't come back from from that explosion.
01:07:14
I know they're not dead but I'm just saying the explosion to
01:07:18
rebuild. Figure out what's what's going
01:07:19
on. Yes, because.
01:07:22
I was like they they just can't catch a break like.
01:07:27
And and that is from two things that wasn't meant to be in that
01:07:30
time being put together. Imagine Ether.
01:07:34
Yep. And Clara, when to go, if you if
01:07:38
you think about it. Yep, those, Yep, 4 things in the
01:07:41
room. Yep.
01:07:43
So but anyway, I don't know did before the episode.
01:07:47
Did you watch the previously on Outlander?
01:07:51
Did you watch that where they showed the flashbacks?
01:07:53
So you remember the flashback they showed about Jamie talking
01:07:57
about the gold that was supposed to go to Bonnie Prince Charlie.
01:08:03
And yeah, so yeah, so apparently the bugs have access to that
01:08:10
gold too, because yeah, they're sitting on it.
01:08:13
But my question is, how did they get it?
01:08:16
Because we know that Jacosta had some.
01:08:20
Because we saw her little flashback story with her husband
01:08:24
taking some of the gold and he ended up bringing it there and
01:08:27
that's how they built River Run and all this other stuff.
01:08:30
It's like, so who was Mr. Bug over in Scotland that he would
01:08:36
have access to that gold. So I think that's going to open
01:08:44
up, that's going to open up an interesting storyline that.
01:08:49
Could take a couple of episodes, but the way that they're
01:08:52
wrapping up things in the store, it may only take one episode.
01:08:56
I don't know. But yeah, the boys got some
01:09:01
explaining to do. Well, when to go is done.
01:09:06
I'm sorry. Like I can see Jamie, Claire
01:09:09
surviving. They will survive.
01:09:11
But you, you, you did the match, so you're done.
01:09:15
And you were in the room where the.
01:09:16
Ether was like. So.
01:09:18
When to go. And his people were all in that
01:09:21
room, so you already know. Especially with as strong as
01:09:25
that ether is, I'm pretty sure his men are knocked out by now.
01:09:29
Claire, Jamie, and the Bugs were close enough to the door that
01:09:33
they probably could have gotten out.
01:09:35
They may have been knocked away from the house by the fire, but
01:09:38
yeah, they didn't. They didn't die.
01:09:40
They didn't die. But it was cool to say, Oh my
01:09:43
goodness, this is the house fire.
01:09:45
Yeah. So.
01:09:49
So and then when they wrote that and our perspective, even when
01:09:53
it said that Jamie and Claire died, maybe we don't really know
01:09:57
that though because they could assume they did and something,
01:10:02
you know, they went and traveled somewhere else so and just like
01:10:05
oh, they must have died in the fire.
01:10:08
However, it was just I like how we made that connection and
01:10:12
we're to that point after Brianna and Roger left.
01:10:18
Because that was the reason too. She came that she came back,
01:10:21
Yeah, so. But, but, you know, I think she
01:10:27
also addressed that because when she and Roger were talking about
01:10:32
leaving, you know, she had told Roger, I will go back with
01:10:36
Mandy. You stay here with Jim.
01:10:37
I was like, now you. Why?
01:10:41
In hell, Roger. From to let you do that.
01:10:44
No. What's his name?
01:10:45
Right, so. But she was.
01:10:47
But you know what? It does?
01:10:49
Because to her, she would think she would go get the surgery and
01:10:53
bring them back. Yeah, but you don't even.
01:10:58
But it still makes sense. They all need to go together.
01:11:01
And then once everything is good, you can make that decision
01:11:05
if you want to travel back or not.
01:11:07
Because here's the thing. So even if you do go into the
01:11:11
future with your daughter, you come back whenever it is that
01:11:15
you come back. How are you going to get back
01:11:17
home? Because chances are they're not
01:11:20
going to leave the boat there. They have to be able to get
01:11:22
back. You are a woman traveling alone
01:11:26
with a child in the 1700s. You tried that once before and
01:11:33
you you found some trouble. We don't want to take that.
01:11:36
No, you don't. You either going to stay here
01:11:38
with Roger and Y'all going to bury your baby or all of Y'all
01:11:41
are going it. It's just one or the other.
01:11:45
There is no in between. You can't separate your family
01:11:48
like that. Not like that.
01:11:49
It's not like, oh, OK, I'm going to another state for the
01:11:52
surgery. No, you going to a different
01:11:53
time. You going to a different
01:11:55
century. Yeah.
01:11:56
It's not going to work. Yeah.
01:11:57
You can't separate. It's not going to work.
01:11:59
It's not going to work. But I will say this too.
01:12:02
The other scenes that I really liked in this episode was the
01:12:06
scene where Jamie is walking around with Amanda, talking to
01:12:10
her, because I love seeing his his scenes with the babies.
01:12:14
Because it's like you always feel with Jamie's character that
01:12:19
he is so thankful to have that family around him because he
01:12:25
grew up around so much family. And for him to go through life
01:12:33
thinking that he would never see his wife or daughter again, to
01:12:37
the point where he married someone he didn't really care
01:12:40
about, just to be able to take care of her children.
01:12:44
To have a family of his own, you know, for him to be able to meet
01:12:48
his daughter, that he, he and he never thought that possible.
01:12:52
To have Roger Mack as a Soninlaw, to get to sit there
01:12:56
and hold his grandbabies that he never thought he would be
01:13:00
possible. You get to see that joy on his
01:13:03
face every time he's around those kids like this is my life.
01:13:08
And then you see what he looks like when that's taken away from
01:13:12
him. This episode was so sad.
01:13:15
It was so sweet in a lot of different ways, right?
01:13:18
My favorite scene was Brianna and Jamie with the fireflies, I
01:13:26
said. Magic, magical moments, magical
01:13:28
moments like that. It was funny listening to her
01:13:32
try to describe Mickey Mouse to him, though.
01:13:33
I was like, why can't you just say a person dressed in a
01:13:36
costume? Like a mouse and right because
01:13:39
the way she found it from there. Right the way, she said.
01:13:42
I think it. That ain't how he looks, but OK.
01:13:45
Right. Like that one makes.
01:13:47
It a rat, right? Yeah, rat.
01:13:50
And then what did? What did he tell Jim?
01:13:52
He said if you should happen to encounter a mouse named Michael,
01:13:56
tell him your grandfathers were gone.
01:14:02
Oh. Cute.
01:14:03
It was so. Cute.
01:14:06
It was. Going back to the intro, no, I
01:14:12
can't skip the song this time this week or I did.
01:14:16
Fast forward. It didn't allow you to it.
01:14:19
No, it didn't. But I Fast forward to those
01:14:21
part. I said, oh, this home footage of
01:14:25
Disneyland. And then the last scene of the
01:14:28
home footage was Mickey Mouse. But he wasn't looking so hot.
01:14:34
It looked a little creepy. Yeah, he Mickey Mouse.
01:14:37
Looked a little bit different back then in the but no, I yeah,
01:14:40
because I remember him back then but I'm just saying.
01:14:43
And how that field was that he was just by himself.
01:14:45
I'm like oh so magical moments happen And then it comes to an
01:14:50
end because that right there says it's time for us to go
01:14:52
home. This is turned into another
01:14:55
movie because he was looking look creepy.
01:15:01
Just the way that how the footage was and then how the
01:15:04
song was in it was just a a tab in on the not happy moments but
01:15:09
more of it's time to leave the park.
01:15:12
Yeah, I was laughing at that intro though I said OK, they
01:15:16
must have heard all of us who were talking about skipping the
01:15:20
intro. They were like, Nope, which
01:15:21
y'all not going to do. No.
01:15:24
Because yeah, I'm listening to the song again and that.
01:15:27
And you said no. I don't.
01:15:29
I just don't like it. I don't.
01:15:31
So I'm sorry, I don't like. It.
01:15:34
I don't either. It's a no.
01:15:36
Yeah. So.
01:15:39
So now we have Jamie and Claire. The big house is definitely
01:15:44
gone. We got Brianna, Brianna and
01:15:49
Roger back to the future with the kids not knowing that.
01:15:58
Claire and Jamie's house just blew up.
01:16:00
So I don't next episode is going to be interesting because like
01:16:04
you said, we know Jamie and Claire survived.
01:16:06
Yeah, we know that. But also, did you, did you watch
01:16:09
the previews for the next episode?
01:16:11
Right. So that's.
01:16:12
I know they still live and one you.
01:16:15
Somebody died. I don't think they would be
01:16:18
having a funeral like that for when to go to Donner.
01:16:20
So I'm no so I'm hoping. The Well, it's only it was only
01:16:24
four other people. Right, so the process of
01:16:27
elimination. One of the books had to be blown
01:16:29
up in the fire. Maybe.
01:16:31
Well, then again, because if you think about it, that means that
01:16:34
if it wasn't one of the bugs, it might have been one of the
01:16:37
twins, or might have been. Yeah, somebody else that could
01:16:40
have been in the house. And I'm sorry.
01:16:41
I was thinking, because now I was like, where's Liz?
01:16:44
I mean, I know they have their own place, but she could have
01:16:45
been, oh, you know what I'm saying?
01:16:47
Like, ran over there, I was thinking.
01:16:50
Yeah, because I know we're not having no, no funeral for when
01:16:53
to go down her. No, no.
01:16:56
So not at all. Guess we got to wait till next
01:16:59
week to see and I know it's not Ian because he still has some
01:17:03
stories to be told about him. So and plus Ian, I don't Ian
01:17:08
doesn't stay in the big house. I think Ian still stays in that
01:17:12
little makeshift house that they have in the woods.
01:17:16
He does, but you know, he just pops up sometimes when they're
01:17:19
in danger, so you just never know that he has popped up, but.
01:17:23
He needs to have a hat. I'm sorry.
01:17:27
I will fall out if he dies and he doesn't have some type of
01:17:32
peace, love, happiness. Yeah.
01:17:38
If some happen, if some happen to me, I'm going to protest.
01:17:44
Because out of everyone, give him something that that's
01:17:49
tangible, that loves him back. And he has for a while.
01:17:55
Well, I've heard rumors that that will happen to him this
01:17:58
season because of because of the casting during this season.
01:18:02
Apparently one of the characters, and I can't remember
01:18:05
her name because again, I'm not that far in the story.
01:18:07
Apparently this is a person who he does have a relationship with
01:18:11
and he does beat. You know, he is happy.
01:18:13
I'm going to hope that that is the case.
01:18:16
Because I'm like you please give me and his happy ever after.
01:18:21
He deserves it, right? Because that that story that was
01:18:27
told and then I have to deal with Malvel Christie on top.
01:18:30
Of it I can't. I can't.
01:18:34
It's hard. Family needs a happy ending.
01:18:36
I mean, I know that, technically speaking.
01:18:39
Ferguson, Marsley have theirs in New Bern, but again I want to
01:18:43
see Ferguson. Well, first of all, let's be
01:18:46
Jamie and Claire have their happy ending.
01:18:50
No matter what happens, just let's go back to just finding
01:18:57
that person, that one person throughout time.
01:19:03
Leave, come back and find each other again.
01:19:08
And all the obstacles that they're, they are still
01:19:10
together, strong. They have it so no matter what.
01:19:16
And they're older, okay. So no matter what happens now,
01:19:20
they they have found their home within each other.
01:19:25
They're good. That that was the other.
01:19:27
Oh, that was the other line, Jamie said to Claire.
01:19:29
When he gave her, you know, he gave her the gemstone to see if
01:19:34
she wanted to go back, and she actually threw the gemstone out
01:19:36
the window. And she came back and she was
01:19:39
like, I love you, he said. You know, I'm not as strong as I
01:19:42
used to be. I can't, I can't be in a world
01:19:45
without you. I was like, oh, that's going to
01:19:49
again. Going back to what you said.
01:19:51
They need to have a notebook ending that.
01:19:53
Just it just. Needs to be.
01:19:56
It's together. That's what it needs to be
01:20:00
because because I I can't imagine.
01:20:05
I don't know if I can imagine. One without the other.
01:20:09
You can't. And do you not understand?
01:20:11
It took, it even took Claire some time to get her shit
01:20:15
together. When she came back when she was
01:20:18
pregnant and even had the baby, like she couldn't.
01:20:22
It was like I can't even function.
01:20:24
And then she got herself together and, you know, went to
01:20:27
school and stuff and and made it and still getting some evidence
01:20:32
that that man is still alive, she left.
01:20:37
I mean, she left her kid. Yep, Yep.
01:20:44
She was like, oh, you'll be alright with him.
01:20:46
I'm going fine. I mean, it was it was a time,
01:20:55
right? Right.
01:20:55
And it was it was a time where her and her and her and Brianna
01:20:59
relationship was strained anyway.
01:21:02
But it was because she was keeping that secret from.
01:21:04
Yeah, and she could. Never be herself around Bree,
01:21:10
So, yeah. And and Bree was a daddy's girl
01:21:15
anyway, so she just saw her mom as an issue.
01:21:18
So that, you know, that's just that just going to happen
01:21:20
sometimes. But I like how when she did
01:21:22
finally understand her mom and they built a close relationship
01:21:27
now. But yeah, they have had their
01:21:29
happiest. What happiest place on earth
01:21:33
they've been together. Yeah.
01:21:36
Even with their child and able to see their grandkids.
01:21:43
So yeah. So they need them to have a
01:21:45
second happiest place where all of them can be together again
01:21:49
like. Brianna and Roger and the kids
01:21:51
come back. I need to.
01:21:53
I'm gonna keep saying, look, I'm gonna bring my microphone
01:21:55
closer, so I need to see Fergus and Marsaly this season.
01:22:00
I know, I agree. On that, I'm saying this very
01:22:03
calmly, but I'm like like jumping on the inside.
01:22:08
Give me my goddamn Fergus and Marsaly.
01:22:12
Right. Like we we killed off these
01:22:14
other characters. Can they come back?
01:22:16
Can they come back? Can they come back now?
01:22:18
Let me see them happy. You know, can can they come
01:22:21
back? Yes, because I think we still
01:22:23
got what, one or two more children that Marsley is
01:22:25
supposed to. I want to see all of this.
01:22:33
I miss the Spitfire that is Marsley.
01:22:35
I miss the gentleness that is Fergus.
01:22:38
I I need them back on my screen. So anyway, that's that's all I'm
01:22:43
going to say about that for now. But I'll probably keep harping
01:22:48
on it until they finally show up on my screen.
01:22:50
I'm just going to warn you right now.
01:22:52
So anyway, do you have any final thoughts on this episode?
01:22:55
No, not at all. It's a great episode.
01:22:58
And goodbye, Alan Christie. And when to go.
01:23:01
Donna, we do not miss you. I mean we we couldn't ties now
01:23:05
like. Snip, snip, motherfucker, snip
01:23:08
snip. And on that note, that is it for
