And they, Ian and William get together and they go searching

for her or whatnot. And then when they find her,

they get into a battle with Bug. But then at the end somebody

kills Bug and then William steps back and Rachel runs to Ian and

Denzel was treating him. And you know, you get the whole

connection because when Lord John Gray is telling Claire

about the surgeries that Henry has had, he was like, oh, yeah,

Doctor Hunter did this, blah, blah, blah.

She was like Denzel. He said, oh, yes, I forgot you

knew each other. Yes.

William recommended him because apparently they've been saving

Walter is the one who had to have his leg amputated and

Claire had to go back and he had developed a blood clot in his

lung and and didn't survive. So this is his wife whose house

they are in. And it just again, it's like all

these different little coincidences and circumstances,

they're all meeting up. It's like the whole 6° of

separation thing, you know? And so I was like, OK, so this

is where, you know, the story is about to get explosive at some

point because there's there's just too much going on in

Philadelphia. And then of course, you got the

other stuff happening with Rodger and Buck, which we'll get

into. But yeah, Philadelphia is just

kind of like, oh, OK, let's pick this person that we know and

pick this person from over here and pick that person.

And we're going to put them in this big pot, and we're going to

stir it up and see what happens. Because even though Mercy

Woodcock is devastated to find out that her husband has died,

once she actually, you know, gets the nerve to ask Claire,

like, hey, so I was told you might know my husband.

And Claire gives her the sad news that Walter has passed.

But at the same time, Mercy Woodcock been over here becoming

interesting because One Mercy is a free black woman in

Philadelphia in the 1700s, late 1700s.

That in of itself is very interesting.

But she's also a rebel or as she says, I'm for independence.

And Henry was brought to her as a prisoner of war when the

Continental Army held the city. But at some point, the British

turned around and they they claimed the city.

And so when the Continental Army left, Henry remained in her

care. And apparently they have

developed this very close friendship, affection, you know,

affection type thing going. On that she that she didn't seem

scarring because he got shot twice and so there were musket

that's still stuck, which is why Claire has to be there.

interesting 'cause you get to see all these different little

things about Claire also kind of come into play when she comes

into the house and she meets with Lord John.

And Mercy was so calm. She was holding the face mask

When Claire was cutting him open, she was sitting there

And then what was it Denzel said something about, I think Claire

But you know, Claire saves his life, which of course we knew he

she would, and of course the way that Laura John knew she would.

And then we kind of see them retreating into kind of everyday

life with her still waiting on Jamie to come.

And, you know, she has this thing where she goes out of town

and she goes to a garden and, you know, she's picking up her
