00:00:25
What's up, hybrids? Welcome back to another episode
00:00:27
of the Phantom Hybrid Podcast. This is Hanukkah, and I am here
00:00:30
with Anthony and Dina, and we are talking about episode 4 of A
00:00:36
Night of the Seven Kingdoms. Yeah, these episodes are getting
00:00:39
so good. They're getting so good.
00:00:43
I was hyped with this episode. Yes, I was like.
00:00:48
Just we had some good moments. But I will start this off by
00:00:56
saying this, I don't like to see Egg in his official capacity of
00:01:01
it as a Targaryen because he seems so diminished and so small
00:01:06
and so not him. You know, we've had this, we've
00:01:11
had this bright, courageous, outspoken young kid for the
00:01:16
first 3 episodes. And then from the moment he
00:01:20
walks into the dungeon in his Targaryen guard, first of all,
00:01:24
it he looks out of place because you see Targaryens you used to
00:01:29
silver hair. He has no hair.
00:01:31
It it looks the the outfit almost looks like it's too big
00:01:34
for him. It just he doesn't feel like egg
00:01:38
and I don't like it. I thought he looked cute, but I
00:01:43
do agree that he's so filled with sadness and fear that he
00:01:49
didn't really have when he was freer, and that's very sad.
00:01:53
He really seems like he does not like being a Targaryen.
00:01:57
I mean, why would he though? Well, he looked like he was
00:02:00
restrained, you know, like he's chained now.
00:02:04
But I'll tell you that opening scene, the two of them, I'm not
00:02:09
going to lie it, it was breaking me.
00:02:13
It was the way he was just trying to explain and thinking
00:02:17
like not wanting to hear it. And you can just hear and see
00:02:21
the pain in both their faces and even, you know, reading the book
00:02:27
it I had sort of the same feeling it it was very hard or
00:02:31
very tough for them to have this conversation.
00:02:34
Yeah, I haven't. Gotten they had such a good,
00:02:37
they had such a good relationship and it's like now
00:02:41
it's not. But you know, the other thing
00:02:44
about it is it's so strange because if you really think
00:02:48
about the conversation and what they're having, and when Egg
00:02:52
says to him, he was like, I didn't mean to lie.
00:02:55
And if you really think back, he didn't, He never said that he
00:03:00
was the stable boy. That was Dunk's assumption.
00:03:03
He just never corrected him. He never.
00:03:05
Corrected him, yeah. Because all he was trying to do
00:03:07
is he was trying to get to the tourney.
00:03:09
Like he said, Darren was supposed to be the the night he
00:03:13
was supposed to fight in the list.
00:03:14
He was supposed to Squire for Darren.
00:03:17
But he what did he say? Darren is a shit knight and he's
00:03:19
a he didn't want to go to the list.
00:03:22
He just thought that we would hide at the end until the
00:03:24
tourney was over. Ed was just trying to get to the
00:03:28
tourney. He's trying to be a Squire.
00:03:31
And you know, when Dunk is sitting there kind of being mean
00:03:37
to him, like, I understand Dunk is upset, but you were the one
00:03:41
who made assumptions. Yeah.
00:03:43
You know, he was like, well, there.
00:03:44
I wasn't there. I was the one who told me you
00:03:46
were the stable boy. Well, technically speaking,
00:03:48
neither did Eggs. Yeah.
00:03:51
In in the books, you get, you get Dunk's internal thoughts
00:03:54
and, you know, other than him thinking himself over, over
00:03:57
again, my head is as thick as a castle wall.
00:04:02
You know, he he started piercing little bits together.
00:04:06
Like he really, he was like, I should have known.
00:04:09
Yeah. Yeah.
00:04:10
Yeah, because even when he like even when he said something
00:04:14
simple, like he was like, I've never heard of a Prince Egg.
00:04:17
He was like, it's short for Aegon.
00:04:19
You know Dunk had to sit there and be like with duh, but.
00:04:22
You know what's funny too about like when he told him, you know,
00:04:27
that he didn't mean, you know, to lie or whatever.
00:04:31
And, and Dunk was just like basically that he he, he, he, I
00:04:38
forget how he phrased it, but he phrased it where he was
00:04:42
basically like you, you did what you did because you wanted a
00:04:45
certain outcome basically. And so you lied because you knew
00:04:48
you weren't going to get the outcome without, you know,
00:04:51
basically lying. And I just thought about how,
00:04:53
you know, we talked about how Dunk is, is kind of simple in a
00:04:57
lot of ways, but he also what he he has an understanding of how
00:05:03
some some people operate because he understands that, you know,
00:05:08
it is, it's a formal line, it's omission.
00:05:10
He understands that. And the way he talks to him and
00:05:12
I, I, even though he's mad at him, I feel like he was also
00:05:17
trying to like teach him a lesson and like he's, he's never
00:05:21
stopped trying to be that person to, to egg in this scene.
00:05:24
And even though he's so mad at him, but he you could tell he
00:05:27
just, it was breaking his heart to be even mad at this boy And
00:05:30
but. I think, I think what he said
00:05:33
was if you didn't think it was wrong, you wouldn't have lied.
00:05:36
You wouldn't have lied. Yeah, that's what it was.
00:05:38
That's what. It was then he tells him to wipe
00:05:40
his tears. So yeah, you're right.
00:05:42
He's still trying to teach him. You still got to be strong.
00:05:46
You got to, Yeah. You can't be crying, you know,
00:05:49
you messed up. So we just going to move on from
00:05:51
here and you know, I'm going to die, but you know.
00:05:53
It's going to be OK. It's going to be OK.
00:05:56
Yeah, I might get my head locked off, but it's going to be OK.
00:06:00
Yeah, but I mean, I, I kind of feel like you don't probably
00:06:04
also like you said, Dina, compared to everybody else, he
00:06:09
seems like a simple person. But one thing about Dunk that
00:06:13
I've noticed, he's very observant when it comes to
00:06:18
people and their honor and how people behave.
00:06:23
Like he really pays attention to that.
00:06:26
And I think in that scene, even though he is angry, he does
00:06:31
understand the egg meant no harm.
00:06:34
You know, just like he he says the Prince Baylor later, he's
00:06:38
like, OK, you know, the boy meant no harm.
00:06:40
I understand that now. But also at the same time, it's
00:06:44
kind of like you got to think that Dunk is wondering, like,
00:06:48
how bad are these Targaryens that you would lie about being a
00:06:51
stable boy rather than say that you are a Targaryen, that you
00:06:56
were sitting there wishing and yelling for your brother to be
00:07:00
killed during an entertainment. How bad can things be for you to
00:07:07
go to that extreme? You know, so I but.
00:07:13
Baylor also tells him one need not do harm, right?
00:07:18
Not mean to do harm or harm to have.
00:07:20
For, for harm to be done. Yeah.
00:07:23
Yeah. Because even even when they do
00:07:26
go in front of Baylor, the way the egg is, he's so formal, you
00:07:32
know, even when he's talking to his uncle.
00:07:34
And his uncle was like he said, yeah, when he saw Aryan hurting
00:07:38
the girl, he should have come to me.
00:07:40
And he was like, but Sir, there was no time.
00:07:44
Where is the little boy who would have been like, that was
00:07:47
you, you, you get what I'm saying?
00:07:49
He's just so he's so restrained and he's so formal and it's so,
00:07:54
it's so weird to see him like that.
00:07:56
It's kind of like he's a caged dragon in a sense, you know?
00:08:01
He's he's back and he's also back to being a cupbearer
00:08:05
because I'm sure he is his cupbearer.
00:08:06
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which was one of those things
00:08:11
that you clearly know that Dunk has never seen because when he
00:08:14
tells him to pour dunks and wine, Dunk is like what he's
00:08:18
like, Are you telling him to do this?
00:08:20
Like, ain't no serpents about, like, what are you doing?
00:08:23
But it's just like how we talked about in with Arya and Tywin.
00:08:27
You learn things by being a cupbearer because you're in the
00:08:30
room with the people making a decision.
00:08:32
So it's a very important role. Even Rainier, remember, Rainier
00:08:35
actually was the cupbearer too. So it's like one of those.
00:08:39
But for him, he probably didn't realize like, that is a position
00:08:43
of like, you know, this is where you need to be when you're
00:08:45
learning. Yeah, and, and why would he?
00:08:48
Because he's been on the road this whole time.
00:08:51
He's never grown up in the castles or around, you know, the
00:08:54
the higher born. So he wouldn't have any reason
00:08:57
to know that. But I think also for him to see
00:09:01
that it probably struck him like, oh, OK, so he's a Prince,
00:09:06
but he's still like, you know, one thing that he always that
00:09:09
the egg talks about is the fact that, you know, he's small for
00:09:13
his age. He gets picked on because he's
00:09:15
small. And even in this, even in this
00:09:20
exchange with Prince Baylor, like Prince Baylor, one thing
00:09:24
about him, he seems to be one of the better Targaryens.
00:09:27
He's never disrespectful. He never really talks down to
00:09:30
Egg, but he does admonish him in a way to let him know, look,
00:09:35
what you did had serious consequences.
00:09:37
You may not have meant harm, but now this man is in trouble, you
00:09:42
know, and, and and to add on to that, Dunk has also been painted
00:09:48
as a kidnapper because Darren, once his father found him in the
00:09:52
end, basically said, oh, I don't know where Egg is.
00:09:55
Some big robber took him, not knowing that his brother was
00:10:00
actually with the guy he saw in the end.
00:10:03
So you just complicated things a little bit more.
00:10:07
I'm not being up front about who you were.
00:10:10
Even. And even if even if what had
00:10:14
happened in the last episode had not happened and Mako had found
00:10:19
Daron, he would have said the same thing.
00:10:21
Would have said the same. Thing Thinking would still be in
00:10:23
the same situation whether or not he hit Ariel.
00:10:28
He would. He would still be possibly up
00:10:31
for getting his head lopped off. And it would have been worse
00:10:35
because Egg would have been with him walking around and they
00:10:40
would have walked up on him with Egg.
00:10:42
That's just proof that all the proof they needed, you know?
00:10:44
Because obviously they don't pay attention to context clues
00:10:48
because it's not like he's been like, you know, had had egg
00:10:55
cuffed or, you know, bonded or whatever.
00:10:59
I mean, Egg has been running around being his Squire, sitting
00:11:04
on top of his head at the list, cheering with him, eating with
00:11:07
him. So, but they wouldn't have paid
00:11:10
attention to that. They would have just looked at
00:11:12
it like they would have been trying to save face because oh,
00:11:16
you're a Targaryen and you ran away.
00:11:18
Oh, we can't tell people that because then people are going to
00:11:20
wonder why would a Prince of the realm run away from his family?
00:11:26
Oh, we can't. We can't bring that kind of
00:11:28
scrutiny on the Targaryen. As you know, people are already
00:11:31
at this point, I'm sort of jaded with them.
00:11:35
They don't have the Dragons, you know, and and some of them, like
00:11:39
Arian are just basically walking around strutting and and trying
00:11:45
to use his name to make him seem important.
00:11:50
You know, it's just like they wouldn't have paid attention.
00:11:54
They would have been like, oh, yeah, we've been seeing him
00:11:56
running around very freely with this man.
00:11:58
But oh, if you say he kidnapped him, then we're going to believe
00:12:01
he kidnapped him. No questions asked.
00:12:04
Really. Which is crazy because, you
00:12:07
know, as we find out later, Aaron still gets punished.
00:12:11
So what's the point of all the other stuff if you still, you
00:12:15
should have just told the truth. I lost him or he went away, you
00:12:19
know? But, you know, I think part of
00:12:21
the reason why Deron was probably punished as well is
00:12:24
because of the fact that, OK, if you had just showed your ass up
00:12:27
at the list like you were supposed to, none of this would
00:12:31
have happened. But you know, I, I made a
00:12:34
comment the other day and it was, it was that these
00:12:39
Targaryens are interesting bunch, you know, because one
00:12:43
thing you learn about them, there are no like really good or
00:12:47
really bad or they're not all one thing.
00:12:49
Like they are mixed bag. You have, you have, you have
00:12:55
these brothers who are from the same parents with you, you know,
00:13:01
Arian, Daron and Egg, all totally different.
00:13:05
Daron, I can kind of understand why he may be the way he is,
00:13:09
because if he's a seer, if he has the sight, he ain't trying
00:13:13
to have those visions. They would explain himself
00:13:17
medicating too. You know, and he's probably
00:13:21
like, he probably feels like also he has his burden.
00:13:24
He's the first born son, you know, of his dads and it just
00:13:30
might be a, a little too much pressure for him, for him.
00:13:33
I don't know. Arianne is the second son and I,
00:13:36
I don't know what's with these second sons and, and this
00:13:40
Targaryen family. They, they tend to have some
00:13:44
issues. And then, you know, you haven't
00:13:47
seen Amon. He's not.
00:13:48
He's not here. We haven't, but I mean, we've
00:13:51
heard enough. We've heard like 1 little
00:13:53
description of his character. He's so useless that they were
00:13:56
going to ship him off to the Citadel.
00:13:58
So we know he's not violent in the way the Ariana is.
00:14:02
And then you have AG, who is the sweetest, Like, yeah, it's just
00:14:12
I I just feel like Daron is one of those people.
00:14:16
Like, he may not be completely good, but obviously he's
00:14:22
protective of his baby brother. I mean, he went so far as to
00:14:26
shave eggs head so that they could hide, you know, and that
00:14:31
could have been, yes, to save his skin, but also for his
00:14:36
brother. You know, you hear about how
00:14:38
cruel Ariana has been to him. He's like, yeah, when I was,
00:14:42
when I was a little kid, he used to come into my room every night
00:14:45
and put his knife between my legs and say that maybe one day
00:14:49
he'll make me a girl so he can marry me.
00:14:51
Excuse me? You know, So I don't know, I
00:15:00
guess. Yeah.
00:15:01
Darren, he, he got punished probably for running off in the
00:15:06
first place, But now you have all of this drama going on.
00:15:10
And it's so interesting because when we first meet the brothers,
00:15:16
Baylor and and Micah, I was like, Micah must be the, the,
00:15:22
the mean brother. The the brother.
00:15:24
I'm not going to like, I can't really say that I don't like him
00:15:28
because he just seems to be so fed up with everything.
00:15:33
And that's his personality. It's not like he's mean on
00:15:36
purpose. It's not like, like even with
00:15:39
the first episode when we meet him, he was like, you know, I
00:15:44
forgot what happened. Oh, they were finding out that
00:15:47
his sons were missing. He was like, fuck me.
00:15:49
And Baylor was like, don't cuss the gay master.
00:15:52
He was like, I'm not cussing him out.
00:15:53
I said fuck me, not fuck him, you.
00:15:57
Know. He's looking at his son.
00:15:58
He's looking at his son's like he just oh, I just don't get it.
00:16:05
Listen, just don't get it. He's like he's just done.
00:16:09
He's he He. Is he's looking at Ariel well
00:16:14
before before we even get to that part.
00:16:15
We got when Dunk goes to talk to to Baylor and they're having a
00:16:22
conversation about what he did and the consequences.
00:16:25
You know, one of the things, things that Dunk keeps saying
00:16:28
is, you know, I was just protecting the innocent.
00:16:31
That's what that's what good nights are supposed to do.
00:16:34
Isn't that what you would have done?
00:16:35
And Baylor is like, yeah, but I'm a Prince of the realm, like.
00:16:39
I got power. I can do that kind of thing.
00:16:41
You you touch the blood of the dragon that that's a whole
00:16:44
different thing, you know? But he seems to be trying to
00:16:49
help Dunk out because, again, this is a man who I feel like
00:16:54
it's just unfair. You, you saw that from their
00:16:57
first interaction. So he's like, so how well can
00:17:01
you fight? And you wonder why he's asking
00:17:04
the question. And then in the next scene, you
00:17:07
see what happens is Dunk asked for a trial by combat.
00:17:11
And the way Baylor count and nods his head, very suddenly,
00:17:14
it's like, OK, he suggested that because he figured Ariana was
00:17:19
not going to want to fight dunk one-on-one.
00:17:23
I was like, OK, that's smart. Then Ariana opens up and he was
00:17:28
like, OK, well, if he has the right to declare trial by
00:17:30
combat, I want to try by 7. And you see the three Baylor and
00:17:38
the other guys, that's. Right.
00:17:42
They're sitting there like oh shit and Makar is so cool it
00:17:46
seems like What the fuck is the job by?
00:17:49
7 He's so, so bothered by everybody.
00:17:57
Well, also, how is it that your son knows what this is but you
00:18:00
don't? But you know what I feel like?
00:18:02
Also, Makar is probably a more peaceful brother.
00:18:07
Ariana seems like he is like he's testing everything.
00:18:12
He's trying everything. He just he I don't know, he's
00:18:16
got anger, he's arrogant, narcissist, whatever.
00:18:19
He just he got to put all his shit out there and I just his
00:18:24
dad was looking at him like what is this I kind?
00:18:28
Of get like that feeling of like how like Damon and and Versaris
00:18:35
and Versaris is kind of the thinker and kind of the OK,
00:18:38
let's think this through thing. And Damon was like, no, let's go
00:18:40
kick ass. Let's just go do it.
00:18:41
I feel like maker is that person like send me to battle.
00:18:44
Don't be giving me this book learning stuff.
00:18:46
I don't care nothing about these these grooves from back in the
00:18:48
day. And then I want to learn that
00:18:50
stuff. Give me my sword and let's go do
00:18:52
what we got to do. And that's why he, you know, he
00:18:54
looked at his son and he's like, so you just ain't going to fight
00:18:56
this man. Go on and kill him what you're
00:18:58
doing. And he's like, because, you
00:19:00
know, in his mind he just would have went and fought and been
00:19:04
done with it. Yeah.
00:19:05
But he looked at his son like I know you ain't, I know you
00:19:08
ain't. Are you punking out?
00:19:10
Really. You hide it behind A6000 year
00:19:14
old rule run over by somebody else.
00:19:17
It ain't even us. You scared, you scared and
00:19:20
everyone is like. He's like, no, I'm just scared,
00:19:23
no. He said.
00:19:24
But he did wrong to Deron too, so he needs to answer for both
00:19:27
of his crimes. There was the only reason why he
00:19:31
was able to to ask for that trial myself if he wasn't for
00:19:34
Deron. You know he didn't want to get
00:19:36
kicked in the face again. And when he's sitting there
00:19:42
cracking those nuts and and just being irritating, you can see
00:19:48
Mecca's like, why is this my child?
00:19:51
Why? Why?
00:19:54
And then as soon as they explain what the rules are to Duncan
00:19:58
that he's going to have to find six other men to fight for him.
00:20:03
When man car walked off and he grabbed he grabbed there he was
00:20:07
like, come here. I was like, he about to go spank
00:20:11
him. That's what it felt like.
00:20:12
Yeah. But that when they had that
00:20:18
conversation and they were telling Dunk.
00:20:21
Yeah, tried by 7. He's like.
00:20:24
What is that? Y'all want to explain it to me?
00:20:27
And Baylor looks so pain. Because you could tell Baylor
00:20:31
had that figured out. OK, Ask for a trial by combat.
00:20:35
He's not going to want to fight you, right?
00:20:37
Because, yeah, you've seen what Arian can do.
00:20:41
We know he's good on a horse, and we know he fights dirty.
00:20:46
You don't know nothing about Sir Duncan.
00:20:48
Because obviously when him and Sir Arlen were serving the
00:20:51
houses, y'all weren't paying him any attention so he could easily
00:20:57
come in and whoop your behind. I mean, he already did.
00:21:00
He already know what he can do. We.
00:21:01
Already know so baby looks like OK, so so we'll do this.
00:21:06
He and and he said it. He said OK, so he can ask for a
00:21:10
try by combat unless you want to drop the charges, then we then
00:21:13
we can do that. We good.
00:21:14
And you know, that's what Baylor was hoping to happen.
00:21:17
Don gets to save face and walk away.
00:21:20
The Targaryens get to save face kind of sort of.
00:21:23
But then, of course, you know, Ariana is the oh, oh, so we just
00:21:26
going to let this stand. We we just going to let we just
00:21:31
going to let this be a challenge to Targaryen honor.
00:21:33
His father was like, don't talk to me about honor.
00:21:35
I heard what you did today, horse yesterday, you know just.
00:21:40
And a random girl who wasn't hurting nobody.
00:21:44
But then the other thing is, like, this kid is talking about,
00:21:49
oh, what he did to Dare on, but they know he didn't kidnap that
00:21:52
boy. So what did you even bring in
00:21:54
Dare on up for? Like just any old excuse to be a
00:21:57
punk. It just hurts my nerves.
00:22:00
The the most weak and just horrible people are always the
00:22:05
most scared, you know, talk all this.
00:22:08
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yes.
00:22:10
And they just are scared. Oh.
00:22:14
I was thinking. Though he was given the face
00:22:17
like he was just confident or whatever, but I don't know, I
00:22:20
feel like Ariel was probably shaking in his boots.
00:22:23
Well, he's. The I think the gold.
00:22:25
Or the silver cloaks or the white cloaks are going to save
00:22:27
them. Yeah, I feel like, I feel like
00:22:32
if, if Maycore hadn't been there the whole time, I don't think
00:22:37
any of this would happen. Yeah.
00:22:39
I don't think he would have would have tortured the puppy.
00:22:43
Puppy people, you know, was he there when he killed the when he
00:22:47
killed the horse? I don't.
00:22:49
Think no, because when he looked up there he wasn't in the chair.
00:22:52
Yeah, he had already left to go look for it there on the.
00:22:54
AI have a feeling he wouldn't do any of his stuff if Nicole was
00:22:59
around. I, I, I go back and forth about
00:23:03
that, but I really, the way McCord treats him, I don't think
00:23:08
he would have done most of this this stuff if he was there.
00:23:13
Just this, just this. To not have to deal with that,
00:23:18
you know, no. Because I almost feel like the
00:23:20
way McCord treats him is because he acts that way.
00:23:24
Well, he he does it when he's not around.
00:23:26
He's like, he's like any other bully.
00:23:28
The bullies don't do the the bullying when Dad is around
00:23:31
because Dad bullies them. Yeah.
00:23:35
That's a good point because, because when when Dunk asked was
00:23:40
his dad dead and or something? And he was like, no.
00:23:43
And he was like, do you know your dad or something?
00:23:45
No, he asked me do you know your dad?
00:23:46
And he's like, no, not really. Yeah.
00:23:49
When he asked dad. So he he probably don't spend no
00:23:52
real time with them. Yeah, and he clearly don't know.
00:23:56
You really don't know what they learning because he didn't know
00:23:58
his son knew about the the 6000 year old rule that I'm sure a
00:24:02
maester probably taught him. Could could be, yeah.
00:24:07
Or he could. I mean, because again, we don't
00:24:09
really know that much about Aryan, but he may be one of
00:24:13
those Targaryens that OK, I'm going to go sit and read and I'm
00:24:15
going to learn some stuff. You know, he could be because
00:24:19
obviously your older brother, should anything happen, he is
00:24:24
obviously not fit to rule, that much is certain.
00:24:27
He kind of, he kind of resembles Aegon in that way.
00:24:31
Aegon from House of the Dragon, because Aegon didn't want to
00:24:35
rule either, You know, he. Was like hey give some.
00:24:39
Hagman I don't want. It they're like 3 or 4, five
00:24:43
targets away from the throne, so they're not worried about being
00:24:48
king or whatever, they don't have to worry about that.
00:24:51
You think so, but I mean Aegon, this Aegon ends up being king
00:24:56
and he's how far down the line so.
00:24:58
I mean, but. Like 13 that's.
00:25:00
Based on the stuff that happens later, but at the moment, like,
00:25:05
is Prince Andrew really think he's going to be king?
00:25:07
I don't see it that way. You know what I'm saying?
00:25:10
He's like you looking over there, you know, you got your
00:25:13
uncle, his sons and then your your dad.
00:25:18
So that's four people that all have to die for you to become
00:25:22
king. And it doesn't look like any of
00:25:25
that is going to happen. So yeah, Aaron's going to be an
00:25:28
ass because he don't have anything better to do and
00:25:31
they're turning around to be a drunkard because no one expects
00:25:34
him to be king because his dad is right there.
00:25:38
You know, then when your cousins start having kids and then they
00:25:41
get married, they bounce. Your brother down.
00:25:43
The line so they don't they don't have to work so egg for I
00:25:48
can run off and be a Squire. What what what else am I going
00:25:51
to do? Or be like Eamon sure, see me to
00:25:55
the sill and be a maester. Well, that's the reason why
00:25:59
Prince Harry was like deuces with his wife and got on out of
00:26:03
there 'cause he's so far down the line at this point.
00:26:06
Yeah. Right.
00:26:07
Why am I dealing with this royal crap when I don't have to?
00:26:12
Yeah, I don't blame him. I really don't.
00:26:17
I really don't. Yeah.
00:26:19
And I and I think Prince Aryan is one of those people where he
00:26:23
probably has an out for every situation.
00:26:27
And that was probably one of those outs that he had as a oh,
00:26:31
isn't this convenient? Yeah, yeah.
00:26:34
Because what do they say is is a trial by 7.
00:26:36
So it's like 7 warriors for each side.
00:26:39
Whoever wins, that's who the quote UN quote the gods have
00:26:44
determined is right. So if Aryan side wins, that
00:26:48
means that Dunk was guilty of the crimes he was, you know, he
00:26:51
was accused of. He most likely will lose his
00:26:54
hands and his feet, but no, Aryan, he's going to try to kill
00:26:57
him. OK, let's just be honest.
00:26:59
But if Dunk side wins, then he's, you know, cleared of all
00:27:04
charges. The only problem is he has to
00:27:08
have six other people. And as he says in this meeting,
00:27:12
he was like, I don't know six other people.
00:27:15
Like, I don't really know anybody here.
00:27:19
So then here come the fossil ways, you know, because Raymond
00:27:23
has been watching the horses while Dunk has been locked up.
00:27:28
And then he takes them to his tent so he can feed them and
00:27:31
they can try to strategize. He's trying to help his friend
00:27:33
out. And Stephen, his cousin comes
00:27:37
in, the more arrogant cousin. But Stephen, at first I feel
00:27:42
like he was sincere, like, Oh yeah, you know what?
00:27:44
Fuck them Targaryens. I'm on your side.
00:27:46
I'm a go get my friends and we're going to help.
00:27:49
So I'm feeling good about all of this at first, OK?
00:27:53
I'm like, OK, Dunk got some good people.
00:27:56
And then here comes Egg, Here comes Darron.
00:27:59
And you know, when he and Darren had the conversation, because
00:28:06
there I was like, look, I was just trying to save my own neck.
00:28:09
I wasn't really trying to blame you.
00:28:11
I don't even think he knew that Dunk actually went to the
00:28:16
attorneys and that his brother found Dunk.
00:28:19
Like, that's who he was walking around as Squire.
00:28:23
I think Darren probably just called out the name because he
00:28:25
remembers seeing the guy at the end.
00:28:26
And he was like, oh, OK, I can just blame it on him.
00:28:30
You know he could be anywhere by now.
00:28:31
He could be anywhere by now. You don't think he's going to be
00:28:34
at the same tourney with your brother and complicate things
00:28:39
more, so at least he does feel bad about that.
00:28:43
Well, you would think that thinking wouldn't like attack
00:28:46
him and almost kill him, but then they.
00:28:48
Can't kill me twice. I was like, you know what?
00:28:52
I I feel you because if you lied on me and got me into even more
00:28:57
trouble and now you just coming in my tit all nonchalant, making
00:29:00
jokes. Excuse me, Sir, what are we
00:29:02
doing here? I don't even you don't even know
00:29:05
me like that. But you about to learn.
00:29:08
But I think he pulled back because Egg was like, don't hurt
00:29:11
him. So it's like, OK, if Egg is
00:29:14
asking. All right, I'm a backup.
00:29:17
Let me see what this dude got to say.
00:29:21
And it's like I said, it's clear Darren may be the only brother
00:29:25
that cares about Egg at this point because again, we have not
00:29:28
met Amon, so we don't know what that relationship is like.
00:29:33
But they're all sitting here trying to help Duncan
00:29:39
brainstorm, trying to figure out what he's going to do.
00:29:43
And they're on is basically like, look, they're going to
00:29:46
make me fight, but I don't want no part of this.
00:29:50
He was like, I look gallant, you know, I'll look good for the
00:29:53
first, for the first charge. But then if you could just knock
00:29:56
me on the head, we're good. I don't have to do anything.
00:30:00
Make it ring, but not too loud. Right.
00:30:03
But it's like you have Arian, he said.
00:30:07
Except my father's going to fight and Dunk is like, of
00:30:11
course he's going to fight. Then you have Daron, who
00:30:14
obviously does not want to fight.
00:30:16
Then you got the three Kings guards that were there.
00:30:19
So they pretty much have six. They almost have their seven.
00:30:23
We don't know who the 7th 1 is going to be at this point.
00:30:26
Dunk still only has Sir Stefan right now, who has gone off to
00:30:31
find his friends so that they can fight on Dunk's side.
00:30:39
First step in talking. Oh, I got your back.
00:30:44
And, and like I said, I feel like in this moment he really
00:30:47
did, because again, the both fossil ways in these episodes
00:30:51
have been like, yeah, you know what?
00:30:53
We were here long before the Targaryens.
00:30:54
We're going to be here long before they leave.
00:30:56
They came over here, they took all our stuff, blah, blah, blah,
00:30:58
blah, blah. So it's obvious in this episode
00:31:02
at this at that point anyway, he don't like the Targaryens.
00:31:06
So I feel like he was very sincere about oh, yeah, I'll,
00:31:11
I'll stand up with you. I'll go fight with you.
00:31:13
Let me go find my my friends. Then the next morning when Dunk
00:31:17
comes out and he sees Sir Lionel and Sir, who was the other one?
00:31:25
Percy Somebody. It was It's the blind, the one
00:31:29
Eyed Night wrestling and Sir Sir Sir Sir Humphrey, the one that
00:31:37
got it. It wasn't he the one that got
00:31:38
his leg messed up by Ariana the leg.
00:31:39
Was crushed. Now you know that somebody who
00:31:43
don't like a Targaryen, you got your leg broke in two places and
00:31:47
you were like, I can't walk, but if I can sit on a horse, I can
00:31:49
fight. I can fight.
00:31:52
He was like, OK, I like this. But then when when Sir Lionel
00:31:57
comes over to Duncan, he's making a joke.
00:31:59
He was like, yeah, I knew your ass was trouble when I first met
00:32:01
you. And he was like, I'm I'm in debt
00:32:03
to you, you know, and to you guys.
00:32:06
And also for Sir Stefan forgetting you.
00:32:09
And Lionel was like, Sir Stevran.
00:32:11
Who is that? Oh wait, what?
00:32:15
Yeah, but also like Sir Lionel, because he's like, I'm not going
00:32:19
to pass up. They haven't been.
00:32:21
We haven't had one of these in 1000 years.
00:32:22
I'm not going to pass this up. Right.
00:32:24
He was like a chance to bloody up the Kingsguard and get that
00:32:28
Pretty Little white armor dirty. Nah, I'm in.
00:32:31
I'm in, I love him so much. You're like, OK, Duncan, he, he
00:32:36
has five people so far. And you know, Sir Stefan will be
00:32:40
6. Sir Stefan comes in.
00:32:44
He tells Raymond, oh, give me my helm.
00:32:47
And Dunk was like, hey, we still need one more person.
00:32:52
And Stephen says, I'm afraid you'll need to.
00:32:56
I'm going to fight over there with the accusers.
00:33:00
Everybody stopped. Like, what?
00:33:04
And Raymond is like, what do you mean you're going to fight with
00:33:08
them? You told Sir Dunk that he could
00:33:11
count on you. He was like, yeah, well, the
00:33:14
Prince made me a a Lord in order to thwart Sir Dunk.
00:33:19
So. OK.
00:33:21
I was like, really? That that's what we doing?
00:33:26
Raymond was like, so you sold your honor for lordship.
00:33:29
He was like, look, I have known people who sold their honor for
00:33:33
much less. Everybody's like, Sir, did you
00:33:36
see Sir Lionel's face? Sir Lionel was like, I would
00:33:40
kick you right now. They were all so flabbergasted
00:33:46
that this man did it. And then he he's sitting there
00:33:49
looking like, well, y'all wouldn't do this.
00:33:53
I mean, his cousin literally spat to the side and and pushed
00:33:57
him. I was.
00:33:59
Like what the hell? And and and the crazy thing is
00:34:05
all of y'all people are looking y'all see the Targaryens over
00:34:09
there and they got their people who over here on Dunk side egg.
00:34:17
So this already should tell you that one of those charges y'all
00:34:21
about the fight over is bogus and shit right?
00:34:24
Because the little boy who supposedly got kidnapped, you
00:34:26
know, his Squire ring for Sir Done.
00:34:31
Yep. So then Dump goes to the crowd
00:34:36
to try to find his, his, you know, his seventh person.
00:34:41
And he makes this really beautiful speech, you know, and,
00:34:46
and it's quiet. Everybody's listening to him.
00:34:49
He's talking about Sir Arlen and how, you know, he taught me how
00:34:53
to be a knight. He taught me how to do
00:34:55
everything. But, oh, before we get into
00:34:57
that, I do have to ask a question.
00:35:00
So after so after Stephen turns his coat basically and goes over
00:35:08
to fight with the Targaryens, Raymond turns around to Sir
00:35:12
Duncan. He was like, night me, I'll
00:35:13
fight on your side. And Dunk pulls his sword and he
00:35:17
hesitates and he was like, no, I shouldn't do that.
00:35:20
Raymond's like night me now. I've been seeing different
00:35:25
things online. Of course I have not gotten this
00:35:28
far in the book so I don't know the dialogue or what's going to
00:35:32
happen. I think I stopped reading right
00:35:34
at the point where Egg reveals himself to be who he is.
00:35:43
OK, so the question that I have, when I first watched it, I
00:35:49
thought Dunk was hesitating because he knew Sir Raymond was
00:35:54
not a good fighter and he didn't want to put him in that position
00:35:57
knowing that he could very well be killed.
00:36:00
Now, I have seen some other discussions saying that the
00:36:05
reason why Dunk hesitated in knighting Sir Raymond is because
00:36:10
he's not really a knight. Exactly.
00:36:13
Yeah, yeah. I think it was a little column
00:36:15
A, a little column B is what I was thinking.
00:36:17
So is that the case, Anthony? He's not Sir Arlen never really
00:36:21
did knight him. I mean, you haven't, you haven't
00:36:24
gotten to the, you haven't gotten to this part of the book.
00:36:27
It will be a spoiler. Well, I mean, I'm watching the
00:36:29
show so it doesn't matter now. In in the book, if I remember
00:36:34
correctly, it's because he's not a knight.
00:36:37
OK. Yep.
00:36:39
That's why he's he's not a knight.
00:36:41
So he didn't in good conscience, he couldn't, he couldn't knight
00:36:46
him. OK.
00:36:47
And I love the fact. That also put his put his put
00:36:50
him in harm's way yeah, for so it.
00:36:53
Is a little bit of both, yeah. It's it's a lot of not being a
00:36:56
knight in addition to a little bit of.
00:36:59
If he dies and I just. Did he dies and it's on me and
00:37:03
I'm not even a knight and I'm and I he wasn't Yeah, it's yeah,
00:37:07
yeah. So that is, yeah, that is the
00:37:10
part of. This, I was thinking about that
00:37:12
when, when, when Sir Lionel was like, here, I'll do it.
00:37:16
And I was like, thank God. But you know what?
00:37:19
And I love him for that because I feel like he noticed the
00:37:25
hesitation after he said, yeah, well, you know, Raymond is
00:37:28
right. You know, you do.
00:37:30
You're doomed if if he doesn't get knighted and help.
00:37:33
Like, yeah, we're still 1 short, but at least we're not too
00:37:36
short. Like you got a knight up and if
00:37:39
he does have the hesitation and and the the kind of the the bell
00:37:44
or whatever went off, he was just like, you go ahead, I'll
00:37:47
knight him. I was like, you know what, the
00:37:50
fact that he didn't make that uncomfortable for Dunk.
00:37:54
He didn't give him a knowing glass.
00:37:56
He didn't, he didn't do anything that would make anybody else
00:38:03
look at that situation and say, oh, he's not really a knight.
00:38:06
I think Egg might have figured it out, probably because Egg is
00:38:11
familiar with that custom and what that was.
00:38:13
Because when when Dunk hesitated, Egg's facial
00:38:19
expression changed just slightly, but it changed.
00:38:22
So I feel like he probably figured out what was going on,
00:38:26
but. As far as as far as Lionel,
00:38:29
yeah, As far as Lionel, Sir Lionel knows Duncan is a knight.
00:38:35
As far as he, No he, he doesn't he.
00:38:40
So you think he did that just because the the whole hesitation
00:38:43
thing? Like I don't want my friend to
00:38:45
die, OK? Yeah, because from their
00:38:50
perspective he is a Squire. Like he's not.
00:38:56
I'm talking about Raymond. So of course, thinking is
00:39:01
hesitating to Lionel. He might be hesitating because
00:39:05
he's a Squire and he may not think he's good enough yet and
00:39:11
he doesn't want to put him in harm's way.
00:39:13
And I was like, no, go ahead and do it.
00:39:14
And then he gets called away. So I don't think Lionel is not
00:39:19
thinking that he's not a knight. You don't think so?
00:39:22
That's why he he didn't hesitate.
00:39:24
Well, he didn't. He doesn't think they can
00:39:26
hesitate because he's not a knight.
00:39:27
OK, OK. Because if Lionel had suspected,
00:39:33
he would have suspected already. But see, and and that's the
00:39:38
thing. Because aside from the fact that
00:39:42
he may not have been knighted, Duncan acts more like a knight
00:39:47
than any of them did do. He does.
00:39:52
You know, and so that's why I was thinking Lionel may have
00:39:56
Pete that, oh, maybe he's not a knight because he's he's very
00:39:59
hesitant about doing this, but I feel like.
00:40:03
He's he's a hedge knight and he served under hedge knight, so
00:40:08
they look at his Knights a little different anyway.
00:40:10
Yeah, OK. And the one thing the difference
00:40:14
between hedge Knights and sell sores is his Knights are very
00:40:19
honourable to their word. Yeah.
00:40:21
They are Knights, like they do the right thing when they're
00:40:25
supposed to. Which is the whole the whole
00:40:30
problem with this episode is because that's what Dunk did.
00:40:34
He protected the. Innocent.
00:40:36
Yeah. And I said before that that is
00:40:37
the thing that is a theme for Duncan in this show is he's
00:40:44
learning that what he thought was the ideal night, or what he
00:40:49
thought was what a night should be, is not how it is in real
00:40:54
life. They can be terrible people.
00:40:58
They drink, they're they're not always doing the honorable
00:41:02
thing. They fart in the middle of the
00:41:04
crowd when they they seem like they're going to volunteer for
00:41:08
you. That made me so mad because I
00:41:10
was like why? Why?
00:41:13
Like, what was the purpose of doing that except to just be
00:41:16
mean and embarrassed for no reason?
00:41:18
Like, don't you think he's already suffering enough?
00:41:21
He's right here trying to find somebody that helps help him
00:41:25
save his life. Well, they didn't make their
00:41:27
poop joke cooler, so they had to do something.
00:41:29
I I guess. But I was also wondering because
00:41:32
obviously it's not everybody who was at the attorney.
00:41:35
So they just, it's like the witnesses are all just the Lords
00:41:38
or the people or the people who who are specific family who have
00:41:44
Neverland or whatever. It's not just everybody who was
00:41:47
in the crowds. Because I feel like some of
00:41:48
those people probably would have came and fought just because
00:41:51
they were so angry about what he did to Sir Humphrey early on.
00:41:57
So it's like they're all like people who probably don't want
00:42:00
to lose whatever it is they already got.
00:42:02
So they ain't about to help him, you know what I mean?
00:42:04
Like. Yeah, because I mean, even Dunk
00:42:08
was thinking that when Sir Stefan was like, Oh yeah, I'm
00:42:10
gonna go get my friends. I'm gonna go get Sir Lion or go
00:42:12
get he was like, but they'll be going against the Dragon House.
00:42:18
And Sir, Sir Stefan was like, what?
00:42:20
Dragon House? They ain't got no Dragons.
00:42:23
Which is. Which is why it's even.
00:42:25
It's even more crazy that you were just talking shit about
00:42:30
them 5 minutes ago and now because the Prince is like Oh
00:42:35
well if you can't be on my side I give you a title.
00:42:38
Oh, OK, I'm, I mean, you're, you're no better than a sell
00:42:42
sword. Which also shows you they didn't
00:42:46
have he didn't necessarily have a bunch of Knights jumping in
00:42:50
his side. Yeah, that's true.
00:42:53
Yeah, 'cause you and. They were supposed to like they
00:42:55
just stand out of it. Yeah, 'cause most of his army,
00:42:58
basically his protectors his. Daddy.
00:43:02
You know. His what?
00:43:04
It was him, his brother, his daddy and the three night 3
00:43:08
kings. He had to bribe.
00:43:10
He had to bribe somebody. And and not even bribe your
00:43:15
daddy is going to be there just because that's your daddy.
00:43:19
Well, no, I just mean like for him to to try to win, he had to
00:43:22
bribe somebody because people clearly wasn't running to his
00:43:25
side like we said. So it's like, so he knew, like
00:43:29
he knew that he also could be in trouble if he didn't do
00:43:32
something. Right so here it is now he has
00:43:37
his seven cuz Sir Stefan is over there with Arion Duncan still 1
00:43:42
short. He goes to make this speech to
00:43:44
the crowd asking, you know, are there no true Knights among you?
00:43:48
And I was like, nobody stood up. Nobody said anything.
00:43:51
I was like, oh, y'all really are a bunch of cowards.
00:43:55
But then you hear the gates. Everybody's turning the look to
00:44:03
see who's coming through the gates.
00:44:05
When the Game of Thrones theme song started playing, I started
00:44:10
crying. I was like, who is this?
00:44:13
Nowhere in my brain that I think it was going to be Prince
00:44:18
Baylor. That was my first thought.
00:44:20
I was like, it has to be him because he's the only one with
00:44:24
enough power to like, do this and not feel like the
00:44:28
consequences are too hot. You know what I mean?
00:44:30
Like he's not no little peasley. Lord Little and I, I wasn't
00:44:36
paying attention because it was kind of dark when he was coming
00:44:39
in so I didn't see his armor. But then Makor started trailing
00:44:43
behind him and he was like, he come to fight for his nephew.
00:44:48
And then when he took his helmet off and he was like, I will
00:44:51
fight for Sir Duck. I'm at work watching this on my
00:44:55
phone. I started to go, yeah, but I
00:44:59
can't. I had to calm myself down and
00:45:01
remind myself that I was at work because I was ready to scream
00:45:06
and cheer. He's going to fight for Sir Dunk
00:45:09
his brothers. Like the hell you think you're
00:45:12
doing. Look, Sir, what he say he
00:45:17
attacked my son. He was protecting the innocent.
00:45:19
As all good night should. And it's like this guy also, I
00:45:29
feel like to a certain degree too, he other than other than
00:45:31
him just being a stand up guy and just like honestly wanting
00:45:34
to be an honorable knight, especially after seeing how Dunk
00:45:37
was just so determined to be an honorable knight.
00:45:40
The other thing, I feel like he he's the one who suggested the
00:45:43
the trial by combat. And I feel like he felt a
00:45:46
little, not responsibility, but like he felt a little like, oh,
00:45:52
this is my idea, you know? And it backfired.
00:45:55
So yeah, yeah, he probably did feel a little bit clearly A.
00:46:00
Good man, you know. Yeah, and also, you know, your,
00:46:04
you know, your nephew is an ass, right?
00:46:07
And your brothers kind of you just saw your nephews to stick a
00:46:12
pole through a horse's chest before he wouldn't attack this
00:46:15
girl all because you mad because of her puppet play.
00:46:19
Like, really? So yeah, I I cheered when he
00:46:26
came in. But also I have a feeling with
00:46:29
apprehension because now you have Saraman and you have Baylor
00:46:35
and I'm sorry. When people volunteer to fight
00:46:38
for other people in this world, it don't necessarily work out
00:46:41
well for them. It don't work out.
00:46:42
It don't work out. So now I'm worried.
00:46:46
And Theron's dream to have us all a little scared, too.
00:46:51
Like, yeah, that's just about. The dragon is but see OK.
00:46:57
We don't know which dragon it is He.
00:46:58
Didn't say it was a good one or a bad one.
00:47:00
He just said a dragon and that. He didn't even tell me if he was
00:47:03
the one that killed the. Dragon, whose wings were so
00:47:06
large it covered the Meadow. That's not going to be Ariana.
00:47:12
Ariana is not that big. He's not great.
00:47:16
So I feel like it's either going to be Baylor or it's going to be
00:47:19
Makar. And he was, what did he say?
00:47:23
He said the dragon was dead. It it was on top of you, but you
00:47:28
were alive and the dragon was dead.
00:47:30
I was like. He asked him did I kill him?
00:47:33
He's like I. Don't know.
00:47:34
I don't know. I I didn't see that much.
00:47:36
You know, you realize how inconvenient these visions can
00:47:40
be. You only see part of the story,
00:47:42
but you don't see the whole story.
00:47:44
But. Not necessarily.
00:47:48
Usually targeting visions give you the whole story.
00:47:50
It's just figuring out what the story is.
00:48:01
It'll be like Riley on a national treasure.
00:48:03
Go to the Thing and find the treasure.
00:48:05
Why can't it? Why can't it just be that
00:48:07
simple? Or just go to the Thing and find
00:48:09
the treasure. Yeah, I can't remember the, the
00:48:11
name of the, the, the Valerian, the Targaryen daughter who had
00:48:16
the dream and they were like, Yep, pack it up, let's go to
00:48:19
Dragon Stone. Visenia.
00:48:21
Was it Visenia that did it? Yeah, it was one of the right.
00:48:25
No, no, it was. No, no, no.
00:48:26
This was earlier earlier. Way before that.
00:48:29
When they were on? Yeah.
00:48:30
When I heard Valyria. It was before.
00:48:33
It was before the Doom of Valyria.
00:48:35
Yeah, right. But I thought it was 1.
00:48:36
Of Aegon's No, because that came afterwards.
00:48:40
That that. Was brave, yeah, but it was
00:48:42
Aegon. But it was, it was.
00:48:44
I mean, whoever Aegon's father was, it was his, His, his.
00:48:49
It may have been, it may have been a couple of generations
00:48:52
before. That OK, Gotcha.
00:48:53
OK, I don't know why it's so confusing because everybody's
00:48:57
Eric, Aegon and Veron. One Aegon 2 Aegon 3.
00:49:00
Even Dunk was like Aegon. Which Aegon?
00:49:03
How many Aegon's have been king? 4 at this point, it'll it'll be
00:49:08
it's four, it'll well, it ain't 4 yet, but.
00:49:10
No, it was 4. No, it was 4 because this one.
00:49:14
Aegis. Five, Yeah.
00:49:16
Aegis 5. Johnson was 6.
00:49:18
John Stone was 6. But let me say, Baylor
00:49:26
Targaryen, I fucks with him. Makor like, I understand that's
00:49:33
your son. Those are your sons.
00:49:35
You going, you going to stand up for your sons?
00:49:38
But clearly he is not happy about having to do so.
00:49:42
And I think he's also probably pissed off that Ariana has put
00:49:45
him in this position. He probably was like, look, we
00:49:49
gonna come to these boring little tourneys.
00:49:52
We gonna let y'all fight for a few days and then we going home
00:49:54
because they, all of them were saying that.
00:49:56
I mean, I think Maker was the one who was like, why are we
00:50:00
even here? He said that in the second
00:50:03
episode. He was like, we could be doing
00:50:06
other things. Why are we here?
00:50:09
He don't want to be there and now you got him fighting.
00:50:12
He probably wasn't planning on putting that armor on.
00:50:16
He wasn't planning on doing nothing but sitting there and
00:50:18
just watching and being bored. And now you got him in armor
00:50:22
about the fight because you were dumbass and you were drunk ass.
00:50:33
So I don't know. I, I still think I I think I'm
00:50:36
OK. Makar is just kind of one of
00:50:38
those where he's just like I I don't hate him.
00:50:42
He hasn't given me any reason to hate him, but I just I don't
00:50:46
know. You need to be AI don't know.
00:50:49
You need to take your sons and hand because obviously you let
00:50:54
them run over you. I mean, he tried to snatch them
00:50:58
up. They just, he just can't, can't
00:51:01
do anything. How did that work?
00:51:02
Out for him. Still Targaryen, though, you
00:51:05
know they can only do so much. Yeah, I guess.
00:51:11
I mean and. Then you have Daron, who is just
00:51:16
obviously Daron just don't want to be there.
00:51:18
He's like, look, I just want to drink and not have these dreams.
00:51:23
Yeah, he's troubled. Yeah, he's.
00:51:26
Yeah, he's just trouble. I want to talk about another
00:51:29
scene that was kind of taking on my heartstrings was Steely.
00:51:34
I call him Steely Dan. Oh.
00:51:36
Yes, the blacksmith. Yes.
00:51:38
Talking about the shield, that whole scene and you know, he's
00:51:45
not like. Tears.
00:51:47
Yeah, he's crying. I'm like, wow, it was deep and
00:51:52
he's the shield and he's like, it's a falling star, it's a
00:51:56
sensei. It's all death.
00:51:57
He's like, no, the tree. Summer is leaves.
00:52:02
Yeah. And then he he replaced the
00:52:05
shield because he was like, yeah, your old one was, was thin
00:52:08
and cheap, wasn't very good. He was like, this one is a
00:52:11
little bit stronger. It's a little bit heavier, but
00:52:15
it'll be it. It'll be better for you.
00:52:16
It's safer. And then when Dunk is like, how
00:52:19
much you want for, he's like from you, just the copper.
00:52:22
I was like, oh, Dunk doesn't worm this way into that man's
00:52:26
heart. He's like, you know what?
00:52:27
I'm gonna help him out. But also, too, he's one of the
00:52:30
small. Folks.
00:52:31
Small folks. Yeah, he understands like what
00:52:34
Dunk did, like you punched A Targaryen Prince in the mouth
00:52:39
and kicked him to save one of us.
00:52:43
So I think at that point you would think most of the small
00:52:47
fault would be like, OK, he's for us.
00:52:49
But of course, like you said, most of the other ones, they're
00:52:52
probably scared, whatever. But the the blacksmith, he was
00:52:56
like, I see you, I see what you did, you know, and I'm going to
00:53:01
do what I can do to protect you or to help, you know, to help
00:53:07
you protect yourself. And then of course, she's gone,
00:53:11
making her way to Dawn because. Why?
00:53:16
Why stay around? Why even bother?
00:53:21
'Cause that wouldn't have been good.
00:53:24
But yeah, I this, this episode, when I say so good.
00:53:30
But now I'm so worried. We have two episodes left in
00:53:32
this season. We're about to have a big battle
00:53:37
in this next episode. I I'm worried, I'm worried.
00:53:44
I don't want Raymond Fossaway to die because one, that's the
00:53:48
first real friend that Dunk has had.
00:53:52
Like when he came out of the trees, he was like, Dunk, is
00:53:55
that you? And they embraced each other.
00:53:57
I was like, look, Dunk has a friend.
00:53:59
Dunk has someone who is really worried about him and, and, and
00:54:04
cares about him. And it's like, OK, you know
00:54:06
what? Let me figure out what I can do
00:54:08
to help my friend. I mean, from from the moment
00:54:12
they met, he has been 10 toes down for Dunk.
00:54:16
So I want him to survive this. I don't know how that's going to
00:54:23
work because you about to you about to go and fight against
00:54:25
seasoned fighters. You're just a Squire, probably,
00:54:30
you know, and only person you've probably fought against is
00:54:33
Stefan. And we saw how that went in the
00:54:36
first episode. Yeah, I would just say there's a
00:54:41
reason why no one calls for trial by 7, because it turns
00:54:46
into something crazy. Everybody's life on the line and
00:54:51
and the only people who would ever ask for this are Knights.
00:54:55
And why? Why would you do that to each
00:54:58
other? Do you know what I mean?
00:55:00
No. No accusation is worth the chaos
00:55:05
that could result from people you know dying like that.
00:55:08
Unless you are a Targaryen and you're attracted to chaos.
00:55:13
Well, don't care about nobody else, but he didn't care.
00:55:16
That's different. I'm saying there there's a
00:55:18
reason why makers like what the fuck is a trial by 7?
00:55:23
No one knows what it is because no one does it.
00:55:26
Yeah, 'cause it's stupid. 1000 years since the last time.
00:55:31
So, so the question is, OK, you have the seven people on the
00:55:36
Targaryen side. You have the seven people on
00:55:38
Duck's side. Is it a fight until everybody
00:55:44
from one team is dead? Is it a fight until the other
00:55:48
team yields? How?
00:55:49
How does this trial by 7 work? It's over once the if the
00:55:55
accused is killed. It's over if the accuser is
00:55:58
killed. It's over or if they yield.
00:56:03
OK, so. OK.
00:56:05
And then is this like like the rest of the list where if you
00:56:12
lose, well, I, I guess if, if you're dead is not really going
00:56:16
to matter. But for the person who dies,
00:56:18
what happens to their like if they lose their land?
00:56:22
Does it go to the person who won or does it?
00:56:25
This is this. This is outside of attorney
00:56:28
rules. OK.
00:56:30
This is this is not attorney rules, OK.
00:56:32
So, but I guess in that case, but will the people who fought
00:56:35
with the person who loses as far as like the ones who ain't in
00:56:38
power, will they be murdered because they they fought?
00:56:42
No. OK, OK.
00:56:45
I mean, because the whole point is your fate is going to be
00:56:48
determined by the gods. So if the accuser, if the
00:56:52
accuser accuser yields, it's over, OK?
00:56:57
And it's just over because that was the whole point.
00:57:00
OK, now if the accused yields, let's say they get into this
00:57:07
fight, Sir, Duncan decides, OK, you know what?
00:57:09
I'm done. I yield.
00:57:11
Will he's will they still put him to just put him to death?
00:57:15
Or will they just take they will to put him to death?
00:57:18
Yes. OK, OK, so yeah, so you might as
00:57:22
well fight to the death. But it's, it's, I guess it's
00:57:28
kind of really not clear because I think, I think in the book
00:57:32
they say he could yield and he would just lose a hand and a
00:57:35
foot because that's really all Andy wants.
00:57:41
Which again, you might. As well, if he if he yields.
00:57:45
If he yields, it's possible and you could spare him and just
00:57:49
take his hand and foot. Yeah, you might as well kill him
00:57:54
at that point, because what else is certain dot going to do?
00:57:57
Being a knight is all he knows. Yeah.
00:58:00
You know, so I think he would probably rather be dead than to
00:58:04
go through life like that, not being able to to help people and
00:58:08
and to do the things that he wants to do as far as being a
00:58:12
knight. Any chance that Aryan dies in
00:58:19
the next episode? I don't want to know.
00:58:20
It's because it's spoilery, but I just.
00:58:24
Hope and pray and dream it is. We just have that hope because,
00:58:32
you know, egg becomes king. So that's hope.
00:58:35
Right. Some, like a whole bunch of
00:58:37
people got to die for egg becomes king now.
00:58:39
We don't know 2. Three, we don't know at what age
00:58:42
he becomes king, but well, at least we don't who haven't read
00:58:46
the books yet because I I haven't gotten that much into
00:58:48
the history, but it's like. There's quite a few.
00:58:51
People that have to die and I mean, technically speaking, you
00:58:55
got 1234, you got four of them in in the trial by 7 right
00:59:02
there. I think it's 66 Sargarian
00:59:06
Princess have to die before he becomes king.
00:59:10
But we're not counting Amon because you know he doesn't die.
00:59:13
Yeah, OK. So that means.
00:59:15
He would have to be out of picture.
00:59:17
What is it? King, Darren the Great That's.
00:59:19
What? Velar.
00:59:23
His son Baylor and then Velar. Oh, Baylor.
00:59:26
And then Velar. And then Makar Daron.
00:59:30
Well, you forgot Baylor has two sons.
00:59:32
I was going to say it's one. It's another son for Baylor.
00:59:34
Yeah, Baylor has two sons. Oh, OK.
00:59:37
Yeah, yeah, you're right. The one OK Baylor, his two sons,
00:59:43
Makor, then Daron, Arian, Damon. There's 8.
00:59:51
There's eight people in front, so you got four of them already
00:59:56
right here. Not not that I want Baylor to
00:59:59
die. I don't want him to die, and I
01:00:01
don't really want Daron to. Really.
01:00:04
I don't want anybody but Ariana to die.
01:00:06
And that's just because Ariana's an asshole.
01:00:08
Like he is the serious level asshole.
01:00:10
I think the serious the second not, but that will be.
01:00:19
That would be too much, I feel like to put in this first
01:00:23
season, especially if you're talking about you're talking
01:00:27
about drawing this story, the showrunners talking about
01:00:30
drawing this story out between 10 and 15 seasons.
01:00:35
He says he wants to explore the entirety of Dunkin Eggs lives.
01:00:42
So you can't make Egg King in the first season, and then it's
01:00:49
a whole nine other seasons full of stuff.
01:00:52
I mean, you probably could. There's probably enough.
01:00:56
But not. I don't.
01:00:58
I don't think I want to see that that quickly.
01:01:03
Yeah. Just so.
01:01:05
Yeah, just Ariana needs to die. Well, you know that the three
01:01:09
novellas are probably going to be the three seasons.
01:01:12
The first three seasons are going to because that's just how
01:01:17
it's going to work out. So in the third novella, because
01:01:21
again, I haven't read that far, do they talk, do they talk about
01:01:26
how Dunkin Egg died? Because I mean, that's not a
01:01:28
spoiler. Everybody dies.
01:01:30
So it's do they talk about the end of their life in that third
01:01:34
novella? Because if that's the case, you
01:01:37
have 3. I don't know.
01:01:38
I haven't. I haven't read the third one
01:01:40
yet. OK.
01:01:41
Because I was going to say, if that's the case, that's a lot
01:01:44
that that's three novellas that you're trying to spread out over
01:01:47
1015 years. There's got to be a lot of stuff
01:01:49
to happen, which I wouldn't be surprised because reading Dance
01:01:53
of Dragons is kind of like, God damn, that's a lot of stuff
01:01:56
that's happening in, in, in this little short story.
01:02:00
So I guess it's, it's doable, but it just depends on how they
01:02:08
end this first season. So I, I don't know.
01:02:11
And then that's also, that's just something that he wants to
01:02:15
do. No one has said like HBO hasn't
01:02:17
said, oh, yeah, we're going to give you 10 to 15 seasons.
01:02:20
I think HBO is going to see how things go.
01:02:22
But again, most of what I've seen online about the show,
01:02:28
people are loving it, like absolutely loving it.
01:02:32
Some people are loving it more than they love the original show
01:02:35
because they're like, it's, it's so like you still have some of
01:02:40
the entry, you still have some of the tension, the drama, the
01:02:45
Targaryens and all that other stuff.
01:02:46
But it's not as in your face as Game of Thrones was, you know
01:02:52
what I'm saying? And then also it's just, yeah,
01:02:55
it's it's more about the people in the character development and
01:02:59
just it's what was it Somebody said?
01:03:02
They said it's a show about love, honor and friendship in a
01:03:06
time when we really need to see that, you know, and they're
01:03:11
doing such a good job of it. And just I love this show.
01:03:17
I love the I love the casting, I love the characters.
01:03:21
And I'm just worried. Well, because, you know, Game of
01:03:25
Thrones drew us in. Ned's a good guy.
01:03:29
And what happened to Ned, huh. What happened to Ned?
01:03:32
I remember watching it and I'm watching it with Evelyn and I'm
01:03:36
like, oh man, he's so great. And like, oh, he's going to find
01:03:39
out. He's got all the stuff and blah,
01:03:41
blah, blah. Evelyn like girl don't get
01:03:43
attached. The same thing.
01:03:46
The same thing. Everybody who even people who I
01:03:49
knew, they read the book, they're like, yeah, they're not
01:03:51
going to kill Sean Bean. They're not.
01:03:55
And then it was like, they did it.
01:03:57
They actually did it. They.
01:04:00
Did yeah. And it's so it's so funny
01:04:03
because I'm, I'm more active now on threads than I am on other
01:04:09
social media just because it's a more, it seems to be a more
01:04:14
peaceful social media. Like everybody over there is
01:04:17
like really positive for the most part.
01:04:20
You know, it's, it's, it's very friendly and I love the way the
01:04:24
algorithm just kind of feeds into it.
01:04:27
But so many people are watching Game of Thrones now for the very
01:04:33
first time. So.
01:04:36
Reading their post is so interesting because based on
01:04:41
some of the things they say, they may not be talking about it
01:04:45
and episode specifically, but based on their commentary, you
01:04:49
can guess where they are in the in the season.
01:04:53
So it's like, you know, you have somebody who's like, oh, Ned
01:04:56
just found out blah blah blah. He about to get.
01:04:59
I was like. He about to get all right.
01:05:03
Right, right. Every time I watch very.
01:05:07
Interesting, because you do have some people who have who are
01:05:11
watching A Night of the Seven Kingdoms and somebody was like,
01:05:15
how did I not know about Game of Thrones before this?
01:05:17
I'm like, yeah, how did you not know?
01:05:20
It was only. It was only the biggest show on
01:05:23
TV ever forever, about 10 years. But there's some people who have
01:05:29
absolutely no. They were like, I didn't even
01:05:31
know the show existed. I I didn't know about.
01:05:34
Yeah. So it's so interesting seeing
01:05:38
the discourse now, like people talking about it, people getting
01:05:41
into a, people really falling in love with it.
01:05:44
And yeah, the heartbreak that we know is about to come.
01:05:50
So I'm just kind of like, even though I know A Night of the
01:05:53
Seven Kingdoms, it's Game of Thrones, but it's not Game of
01:05:56
Thrones. It's a little bit pulled back.
01:05:58
I still am, kind of. I'm watching it like this, like
01:06:02
waiting for the shoe to drop. At the end of the day, it's
01:06:07
still Game of Thrones. It's still Game of Thrones.
01:06:09
It's still Game of Thrones. But we know somebody going to
01:06:12
die. I do wonder like since they're
01:06:14
talking about all these seasons and they want to do all this 15
01:06:17
year plan and all this, are they going to keep the same tone
01:06:21
where it is kind of like funny ish or kind of lighter than a?
01:06:26
Regular Thrones, I think so. I think they can.
01:06:29
I think they've sold it that way.
01:06:32
And I think, you know, remember, as long as you have either and
01:06:38
Targaryen and or Dragons, they're going to be behind the
01:06:42
show. So if they can, if they can keep
01:06:47
a Targaryen in the show egg, and if they promise Targaryens all
01:06:53
the way to the engine, they'll go for it.
01:06:56
Yeah. But also it would be, it would
01:06:59
be really nice if they go for that long to kind of watch
01:07:05
Dexter grow as Egon. That would be an interesting
01:07:08
thing to do, Little Dex, you know.
01:07:15
Yeah, it could be like Arya and Bran and how they all grew up on
01:07:19
the show and got grown and it was hard to watch them be grown.
01:07:24
Yeah. But then also I, I really do
01:07:27
want to see how he is as king, like how the experiences that
01:07:35
he's going through right now, how that shapes him to be a
01:07:37
king. Yeah.
01:07:39
And then, you know, I don't know much about his rule.
01:07:44
I do know a little bit about how he about, you know, his death
01:07:49
and, and Duncan's death. And I do know that they they
01:07:52
stayed together their entire lives.
01:07:54
Like Duncan was very loyal to Egg and Egg was very loyal to
01:07:59
him. So I would.
01:08:00
Like we learned, we learned in the Game of Thrones that Lincoln
01:08:03
was so Duncan at all was Commander Laura commander of the
01:08:08
Kingsguard. We learned that in and I think I
01:08:11
also read somewhere that. When Egon has his first son, he
01:08:14
names him Sir, he names him Duncan the Small after Dunk.
01:08:19
So yeah. So I, I would like to see that
01:08:22
continue. That would be the third volume
01:08:26
that that would have to. Be like the third whatever three
01:08:30
seasons yeah how they do it yeah how would.
01:08:35
They do it because I think if. At the end if the the novellas.
01:08:40
Are. Basically age as a kid and then
01:08:44
if they're going to continue with the.
01:08:46
Next section would have to be. Him as a teenager, right?
01:08:51
And then the third series. Would have to be him as an
01:08:54
adult. Becoming king or whenever he
01:08:59
becomes. King, because again, I don't
01:09:01
know if he becomes. King as a child, if he becomes
01:09:05
king as a teenager, if he, you know, if he makes it all the way
01:09:08
to an adult before he's king. So, you know, I just know that
01:09:13
Maester Amen. When it came time for him to be
01:09:16
king, he was like, Nope, I'm going to the wall.
01:09:19
And I never found out how old he was when he went to the wall.
01:09:22
So, you know, he's like, yeah, little.
01:09:26
Brother, I'm gonna let you. Have this.
01:09:28
I'm going this way, which it was probably obvious at that point,
01:09:33
because if if they're already talking about him going to the
01:09:37
Citadel now it's probably obvious that he either doesn't
01:09:44
have. It in him to be king or?
01:09:46
He is just kind of, they can see like this ain't gonna work out
01:09:52
for him. Well, he's, if I remember
01:09:54
correctly, he says it to John. He was like, there were people,
01:09:59
he didn't want another war to be fought and people died to make
01:10:04
him king, and he didn't even want to be king.
01:10:07
That's why he went to the wall. OK, Yeah, yeah, OK.
01:10:15
So yeah, 'cause that. Whole time is just.
01:10:16
Fighting. Probably like fire rebellion,
01:10:22
yeah. #500. Yeah, they.
01:10:27
Don't quit. You can't make.
01:10:28
Me legitimate and. Think I'm a back down you I'll
01:10:32
quit black fight and that was a bracket who got up and did the.
01:10:36
Fart in the. Stands too, wasn't it?
01:10:38
Yes. Bracken the brute.
01:10:40
Bracken the brute. They they called him out.
01:10:42
I remember that. Name.
01:10:44
I put you on my list. Like Aria, son.
01:10:46
You fighting? That's what you're doing.
01:10:48
OK, Bracken, the brute. I got you in my sleep, I
01:10:53
thought. I thought the Brackens.
01:10:55
Were in the Riverlands. They doing all the way down in
01:10:57
the. Reach in the reach I mean, but
01:11:00
didn't or what? I feel like, I guess, well, I
01:11:03
don't know, do people travelled like that that far, See that
01:11:08
weren't like, you know, I guess, I guess so.
01:11:11
I mean, yeah. 'Cause there was a, there was a
01:11:15
telly bear. So yeah, Oh yeah, the telly was
01:11:17
in the tourneys. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:11:19
Fish Eater. I mean, think about it again if
01:11:23
you don't have. Really anything else to do,
01:11:26
you're not in line to be, you know, the Lord of whatever,
01:11:30
right? Just sure.
01:11:31
It's a tournament. Yeah, I'll.
01:11:33
I'll drive. 20. Days to go be in a tournament
01:11:36
and possibly get killed. God, 20 days is for glory.
01:11:41
That. Isn't that what Sir Stefan?
01:11:43
Said for glory, or you know, give me a.
01:11:47
A lordship, yeah, 'cause I think we, I think it's, it was like 30
01:11:52
days from Winterfell. To King's Landing, Yeah, that
01:11:56
track, but imagine how long it would take to get to Reach.
01:11:59
Yeah. In a rickety in a rickety
01:12:02
carriage. No comfort, no featherbed, No.
01:12:06
I mean, sure, you're going to stay in the inn, but just no.
01:12:11
That's why I want to know what happened in the lamb cart with
01:12:13
Egg when he was. Like I don't want to talk about
01:12:18
he had to be oh, because. That was something else, because
01:12:20
then. Lincoln said it's only been four
01:12:24
nights, four days since he left the ham.
01:12:27
Yeah, so. That mean egg spent like a whole
01:12:33
day. In the cart.
01:12:35
In the cart, probably. So, Yeah.
01:12:37
Oh God. Yeah.
01:12:40
That's one day too long. Listen.
01:12:44
He wanted them adventures though, didn't he?
01:12:45
He. Said I don't want to talk about.
01:12:47
I don't want to talk about it. Talk about it, but I mean, but
01:12:51
he was happy you, you know, when they were in the.
01:12:53
Last episode when he and Dunk was sitting there and they were
01:12:56
fit they were fixing there with this someone call it they call
01:12:59
it the the egg and Dunk mixed sandwich or something like that,
01:13:05
the breakfast sandwiches and he just.
01:13:07
Kind of looked around, kind of. Fire when it was sent, all the
01:13:10
tips and everything, he was like.
01:13:13
I think I could. Be quite happy here.
01:13:15
And I was like, oh, so you know, this boy don't want to be a
01:13:20
Targaryen. He don't want to rule.
01:13:22
He just wants to live a simple life.
01:13:25
Look, let's, let's just go to the tournament.
01:13:27
Let's go wherever I will. He's been with you, right?
01:13:31
Just reminded me, I don't know why it.
01:13:35
Reminded me of that of that. Thing, you know, in The
01:13:37
Avengers, when Captain America is telling the cop, go do this,
01:13:40
do this, do this, and the guy's like, who the hell are you?
01:13:42
And he's just like, oh, the aliens came and dropped the
01:13:45
shit. And then Captain America was
01:13:46
like pop out and he's like, oh, go do the thing.
01:13:49
Remind me of that. Because he's telling he's
01:13:51
selling the egg that they're going to have salt beef.
01:13:54
And he's like, I don't even think so.
01:13:55
Like basically I'm not eating that shit.
01:13:58
And then he worked his ass and he was like, what is the best
01:14:01
salt beef? He changed his old like man, I
01:14:07
ain't never. Been this hungry.
01:14:08
This salt beef is good, right? Right.
01:14:11
But at first he had that. Little like I ain't eating that
01:14:14
salt. Beef, I know your hoity toity
01:14:17
was coming out right then. And there, Oh my gosh, I love
01:14:22
them so much. I.
01:14:24
Know I can't wait for the. I can't wait for the cookbook
01:14:27
the. Dunking Egg cookbook.
01:14:28
So I can make that sandwich. They probably.
01:14:31
They probably. Will do one they.
01:14:33
They as long as it. Doesn't have hot salt beef in
01:14:36
there. Just we don't need to have that.
01:14:41
I want them. Goosey, I'm about to go to one
01:14:43
of these geese. That's off by my.
01:14:44
Job, they'll be honking at everybody and go get one of
01:14:47
them. Goosey eggs were big.
01:14:49
They'd be trying to fight you, though.
01:14:51
Yeah, they do. Yes, they do.
01:14:53
They do. We we had some nesting geese.
01:14:58
At. The the building I used to work
01:15:00
at that was next door to the building Anthony was working at,
01:15:04
and literally anytime you walk past that nest, they were
01:15:09
attacked. I used to tell Susan at the bus.
01:15:12
Lane, don't go over there. Don't go over there.
01:15:14
They one of them, he went over there and that geese turned
01:15:18
around. Put them wings out.
01:15:20
I said. Boy, you better run.
01:15:24
Well, one of ours was nesting the.
01:15:26
Dude was hiding between cars in the parking lot, waiting on
01:15:29
people to go try to talk to to mess with her.
01:15:32
And as soon as somebody would come outside, he would You
01:15:35
better get away from her. And I'm just like, we we're just
01:15:38
trying to walk to our car. What are you doing?
01:15:40
Yeah, but. The crazy thing was they put the
01:15:44
they made their nest right next to the side exit door.
01:15:50
So literally like. It it was a problem for a.
01:15:54
Long time we had a counselor because the parking is back
01:15:58
there. He wouldn't let the counselor
01:16:00
get in her car. She was like, Oh my God, I can't
01:16:04
leave. He was standing by the car.
01:16:06
Look at that. I had to walk over and distract
01:16:08
them while she ran around the car and went through the
01:16:14
passenger side. People was able to catch them
01:16:16
and steal their eggs. Like how?
01:16:18
Sway 'cause they out here killing people.
01:16:21
I don't know, look. They probably look they.
01:16:25
Probably killed the geese back then too.
01:16:28
You. Know they they out there for the
01:16:30
turning they need some fresh meat they yeah yeah he did say
01:16:35
no no, not the geese I want. The eggs, just like, yeah,
01:16:39
'cause he was about to yell. So you know.
01:16:42
Maybe just like chicken, but did we use?
01:16:50
Anything I feel like we I. Think we covered everything?
01:16:54
Well, I think well. So like small stuff?
01:16:56
Like the the. The blacks blacksmith did tell
01:17:00
him that the girl was headed back to Dorn, which what you
01:17:03
would assume she would be safe because while Aryan is causing
01:17:07
mayhem, she probably has time to get down there.
01:17:10
Hopefully because Dorn is way past kings like like it's way
01:17:13
down South. So hopefully she can get there.
01:17:16
Yeah, yeah. Oh, with and and Targaryens.
01:17:20
Don't mess with doing. Too much, yeah, nobody messes
01:17:23
with doing too much. Pretty much sovereign.
01:17:25
They're like, look, you stay up there, we stay down here.
01:17:27
We. Going to leave it but they be
01:17:29
straight marrying them though back.
01:17:30
All these Dornish women getting married off, Yeah, won't be.
01:17:37
That one though. But OK, so we have.
01:17:41
We have two episodes. Left and then we're going to be
01:17:46
without. Dunking it, but I did.
01:17:49
Hear that they are already working on season 2 and they
01:17:54
don't plan on having long hiatuses in in between seasons
01:17:58
for the show 'cause Dexter will be 85 years old if they.
01:18:03
Do that, but also like, like Anthony said, you don't have
01:18:07
Dragons. So you don't, you nothing in
01:18:10
this show is CGI. You don't.
01:18:14
Everything is practical. You just have a couple of sets.
01:18:18
Yeah. And they they.
01:18:19
Really, you only have a couple of sets.
01:18:23
It shouldn't take much. Yeah, so I would.
01:18:26
Say we should get a new. Season next year and I can
01:18:30
really see them turning. The sets they use for this,
01:18:35
turning this around for Season 2 because it's just, it's just.
01:18:41
A couple of. A couple of buildings and a
01:18:46
field. That's all it is.
01:18:48
Yeah, Yeah. Would they?
01:18:50
I guess, But would they? Head back down to King's Landing
01:18:53
though is the question. Are they going to be back in
01:18:55
King's Landing for that though? Do you want to know the?
01:19:00
Answer I mean. At some point they.
01:19:02
Got to get back to King's. Landing, but will it be?
01:19:04
That early I guess in the question, OK, they no.
01:19:10
No. That's good.
01:19:11
No Was good. That was good.
01:19:13
So yeah, they're making reuses that they have.
01:19:16
Yeah. It's it's not because the.
01:19:19
The second season is the. Second season will be the sworn
01:19:22
sword, so they're they're going to be working for some other
01:19:25
Lord doing some stuff. OK, OK.
01:19:29
OK. All right, well.
01:19:30
You guys have any final thoughts?
01:19:31
This is a good episode. I just want to say you're not a
01:19:37
spoiler because we do know. But Egg does become king at some
01:19:42
point, so saying that they're working for some other Lord in
01:19:46
the second season is not really a spoiler.
01:19:48
Yeah, no, it's not. You know, Egg becomes.
01:19:52
King and Duncan becomes. Knight of the King command of
01:19:56
the King start, but we may have a ways to go before that
01:19:59
happens. So that way we may have or we
01:20:02
may not, but yeah, well. Yeah, but at least we get to
01:20:06
see. Duncan, Ed.
01:20:07
Kind of repair their relationship.
01:20:10
Yeah, Right now it is kind of fractured.
01:20:12
But I think also like the fact that Ed came to the tent and
01:20:17
Dunk is like, what are you doing here?
01:20:19
He was like, I'm your Squire. You gonna need somebody to
01:20:21
Squire for you. And he was out there the next
01:20:24
morning. Like did he?
01:20:26
Even sleep. Oh, and that's the other thing.
01:20:30
Ed was the one who got the Champions for Dunk's side
01:20:34
because Sir Stefan obviously didn't.
01:20:37
And Sir Lionel? Was like, who is that?
01:20:40
And don't say, well, how are you all here?
01:20:43
The boy came and got us. And also at this point everybody
01:20:47
knows who egg is. Now so Prince.
01:20:52
The Targaryen Prince. Comes and says I need you to.
01:20:55
Come fight. For him.
01:20:57
Yeah, might as well, right? Especially, especially
01:21:04
technically speaking, they aren't.
01:21:06
Going against House Targaryen because a Targaryen Prince came
01:21:10
and said, hey, I need you to come fight for someone.
01:21:12
That is true. Technically speaking, they are
01:21:15
following the rules. They're still, you know, loyal
01:21:18
to the house. It's just which side of the
01:21:21
house is like the Reds, I mean the greens and blacks and the
01:21:23
blacks. Especially when Daddy Baylor
01:21:27
come up. Out of there, make what was
01:21:31
like, excuse me, what you doing? I'm gonna go.
01:21:34
Fight over here with them, have you?
01:21:36
Lost your senses? Y'all y'all can have this over.
01:21:38
There. I just feel like I'm.
01:21:42
I'm going to be crying. I just feel like because it's
01:21:45
it's Game of Thrones, they don't do something that's going to
01:21:47
hurt my heart and I'm going to be very disappointed.
01:21:49
I just feel it. Which is crazy considering we've
01:21:52
only known these characters. Literally for what, 3 hours?
01:21:56
I know by the time, by the time that he's done.
01:21:59
Not. Even 3 is it no by by the time
01:22:03
the? Season is done.
01:22:03
It'll be almost. Over 3 hours.
01:22:05
But yeah, we, we spent what, two and a half, 2 1/2 hours maybe
01:22:09
with the. I just need Sir Stephen.
01:22:14
To die and Raymond to become Lord Fossaway.
01:22:21
That's all I need to happen. Everything.
01:22:23
Else is just whatever. But that's what I need to
01:22:25
happen. He's probably the only other
01:22:27
male in the line of succession. Behind him.
01:22:30
So he going to hear everything he got, Yeah.
01:22:33
Was that Lima that said maybe they should have?
01:22:36
Been apples they wouldn't be something to Oh my God and I
01:22:41
thought Raven was about. To jump that man.
01:22:44
No, that was Zaron who said it it.
01:22:47
Was Zaron. That was hilarious, he said.
01:22:50
Yeah, he said. Maybe, he said.
01:22:52
Maybe. We as far as the Targaryens,
01:22:54
because he was talking about the fact that Ariana attacked the
01:22:58
girl because she did the puppet show about the dragon being
01:23:02
slain and like you said Anthony they look he looks at himself as
01:23:06
the dragon egg even says he was like he thinks he's a dragon in
01:23:09
human form. So when they slew the dragon, he
01:23:13
took that personally and they're.
01:23:19
He was like, you know, maybe, maybe.
01:23:21
We should have been apples. And then Raven was like, we're
01:23:27
just saying what you say. Raven is scrappy.
01:23:33
Though I'll give him props for a little Squire, I said.
01:23:37
Knight him, give him a sore and a horse.
01:23:40
About it all the Squires you pretty much have seen have been
01:23:43
kind of like. Mild mannered, like I was mild
01:23:45
mannered before he became like it's so like Raymond is like
01:23:50
what's good, right? Let's go right.
01:23:53
He's like, oh you need another night because my bitch ass.
01:23:56
Cousin OK night me night me king me yeah, he was willing to die
01:24:02
because he. Raymond because he has a sense
01:24:06
of honor. And he has a sense of loyalty,
01:24:10
like you don't give somebody your word and then you turn
01:24:13
around and and break that word for what?
01:24:16
For a title, A title that let's. Say y'all lose that.
01:24:21
Title's that title's coming right back basically, 'cause you
01:24:25
don't go renege on. Right, they told you believe the
01:24:29
man. Anyway.
01:24:33
Oh yeah. So yeah, I.
01:24:34
I want to see Sir Stephen. Kind of get what's coming to
01:24:37
him. I want to see Ariana get what's
01:24:40
coming to him. And I just want everybody on our
01:24:42
side to make it out alive. I know that's asking a lot.
01:24:45
Game of Thrones, but it's it's out there.
01:24:50
So 2 episodes left. I guess we'll just prepare for
01:24:57
possible heartbreak in the next episode.
01:25:00
But for that, for now, that is our show.
