Final “Deathly Hallows” trailer is released

Every moment he’s lived has led to this.

The first ten seconds had me in tears and squealing simultaneously with excitement and dread: Warner Bros. has released the final full-length trailer for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

Just a quick rundown (in other words, SPOILERS) of some of the key scenes in the trailer:

  • Lily Potter telling baby Harry, “Harry be safe, be strong.” (I know I’m not the only one who teared up at that scene!)
  • Flashbacks to the previous seven films
  • The quidditch pitch being destroyed
  • Dragon escape!
  • Trolls and dementors
  • Remus and Tonks
I won’t post anything else; if you want full details and are familiar with the story, you’ll know which key scenes were kept in the film.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 will be in theaters July 15.

  1. I just blogged about this also. The part that got me was when Harry was using the Resurrection Stone. He asked his parents, Sirius, and Remus to stay with him. When Lily said, “always,” I just lost it. I also loved it when Sirius said, “until the end.”

Tumblr exploded with Harry Potter love and tears tonight: I am still sobbing.
