HBO has finally given True Blood fans something to look forward to this summer! It was announced today that Season 3 of the popular hit series will premiere on Sunday, July 13th at 9:00pm. Fans have been eagerly waiting for this announcement since the cliffhanger ending of Season 2 late last fall. What’s that? You don’t remember how it ended? Well, you can blame HBO and their agonizing months-long hiatus! But we’ll forgive them, because HBO will broadcast an encore of Season 2 beginning next Sunday, March 21st at 9:00pm.
Me personally, I’m very interested in seeing what additions/changes the show writers have made to the immensely popular Southern Vampire series of books from which the show is based. As a fan of the books, there have been changes that I have been quite happy with, and there are some that I’ve questioned the whole point of the storyline. But overall, the series has been yet another addiction for me, and I can’t wait to see what surprises are in store for Sookie, Bill, Eric and the rest of Bon Temps.
And for those of you who are fans of the book, the tenth installment, “Dead in the Family” will be released on May 6th. If you’re the least bit curious as to how it begins, check out this post for info on Chapter 1.
