Movies in 2010: A Preview

As a follow-up to my post “Movies in 2009: A Review”, I’m going to post the movies that I plan to partake in this year. And yes, let’s go ahead and get “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1” out of the way, shall we? (I’ll be crossing off the list as I get to see them).

  • Leap Year (Expected Release: January 8 )
  • The Book of Eli (Expected Release: January 15)
  • Smokin’ Aces 2: Assassin’s Ball (Expected Release: January 19)
  • Legion (Expected Release: January 22)
  • Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (Expected Release: February 12)
  • The Wolfman (Expected Release: February 12)
  • Alice in Wonderland (Expected Release: March 5)
  • Remember Me (Expected Release: March 12)
  • The Runaways (Expected Release: March 19)
  • Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (Expected Release: March 25) …guess that means I need to watch the first one first, huh?
  • Clash of the Titans (Expected Release: March 26)
  • The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (Expected Release: May 7) …again, guess I need to watch Prince Caspian, too.
  • Iron Man 2 (Expected Release: May 7)
  • Letters to Juliet (Expected Release: May 7)
  • Robin Hood (Expected Release: May 14)
  • Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (Expected Release: May 28)
  • The Karate Kid (Expected Release: June 11)
  • The A-Team (Expected Release: June 11)
  • Toy Story 3 (Expected Release: June 18)
  • The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (Expected Release: June 30)
  • The Last Airbender (Expected Release: July 2)
  • Despicable ME (Expected Release: July 9)
  • Salt (Expected Release: July 23)
  • Ramona and Beezus (Expected Release: August 13)
  • East of Eden (Expected Release: October 10)
  • HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, PART 1 (Expected Release: November 19)
  • Tron Legacy (Expected Release: December 17)

There are a few others that I’m a bit undecided on, and I’m sure there will probably be some additions and subtractions to the list. Honestly, I’m quite surprised at the number of “chick flicks” that made this list, and a bit appalled at the lack of action movies coming out, but again – time will tell.

What are you looking forward to seeing this year?
